Branko was hired to completely rewire the first and second floor of a two flat along with putting in complete new furnace and duct work and air conditioning.  After ten months of fighting with him to finish and the work is still incomplete and many mistakes.

Branko did not put the electrical boxes in to account for half inch of drywall and now when I put the drywall up the boxes will be sunk in the wall and the drywall will extend past the boxes.  I discussed this problem when he first started working on the second floor and he continued to make the same mistake on the first floor.  He tried to correct some of the boxes on the second floor where I had already had the drywall completed and he cut big holes in the drywall and then placed foam insulation to fill the gap and told me I could just plaster over it.

He cut out gas lines out that I did not contract with him to replace and I had to pay someone else to put them back in.  He never cleaned his messes up.  I had to clean and pay to haul it away.  He lied all the time saying he would be there and never show or show up and just leave right away.  It seemed to me that he made all these mistakes intentionally.  Why not just put the correct electrical boxes in the first time around.

He put the electrical line for the bathroom light by the toilet and now that has to moved and I have the drywall up.  So now I have another mess to contend with.  One would think the contractor knows where to put the lines.  I am not the expert.  He was just horrible.  Horrible! He tried to tell me I needed a thermostat and I found out someone removed the batteries.  I know it wasnt me who removed them.  I had a bolt lock there I just had fixed, he showed up one day and the lock was broke again.  Wierd thinks like that all the time.  Chop job contractor!

First off, the kitchen design was not changed four times.  See the dates on the designs attached and you will see the design was the same.  Also, The 2nd floor was drywalled in December of 2014 so to say that I changed the design four times and that is what delayed the project is a lie.  Also if I drwalled in December, how did the size of drywall hold you up.  It didn't.  See the attached rebates from Menards.  Proof I bought drywall long before what you allege.  He even told this crap to the inspector and the inspector walked right over the drywall and looked and said "1/2 inch"  I said yep, what I've been saying all along.  We never drywalled over outlets.  Correct the first floor is not drywalled because I couldn't get branko to finish.  I did have Branko put the outlets on because I was sick of waiting on him to get things done and wanted the materials I paid for and to check to make sure all outlets work and I would worry about having the electrical boxes adjusted by someone else.  Drywall was never placed over outlets, in fact drywall is still not up because certain outlets quit working.  I had two other outlets quit working before the final and he said they were loose wires.  One outlet had a broken pin which I showed to the insepctor.  You brag about doing this for 30 years and you still can't adjust an electrical box without cutting big holes around the original box.  Branko's helper Carlos drywalled and plastered the furnace room, he could have plastered the boxes.  Also Carlos adjusted an electrical and didn't cause the damage Branko did.  Intentional botch job.  Electrical for basement was fine.  I showed my inspection report from when I purchased the home to the City Inspector where it showed there were no visible defects to the electic in the basement.  The old gas lighting was cut out years ago when the electrical was updated by the previous owner.  If there were hazards, I would think he would bring them to my attention, not just remove them and not even tell me.  If he hadn't taken out the circuit box in the basement, he wouldn't of had to put in some basic public electricity but of course that was a shabby job too.  I had a NICOR out and asked him if he cold light my water heater and that's how I found out the gas lines were cut.  Branko created a hazard.  I coud have blown myself up.  What If I tried that on my own.  This is Branko's way of staying in your pocket book.  I paid Branko in October 2014 for heating and air and did not get the air in until August of 2015.  Probably delayed because he knows he didn't add the proper amount of freon to last all summer.  I don't call myself a general contractor.  I am a homeowner who has the right to hire contractors to do work.  Shame sabotagers are allowed on Chicago's website.  Thought I was safe using a contractor from that website.  The inspectors do not care if they are doing work cosmetically shabby.  They only job is to worry that the electric is correct.  Anything else is your problem and you have to take the contractor to court.  Branko knows this and knows how to manipulate the system.  He also made me look like a crazy person to the inspectors but after meeting me, they now know different.  Problem is the contractors know these inspectors adn speak to them regularly and say a lot of thinks about the homeowners, bashing us like we are idiots.  The inspector now has a bad impression about you and doesn't know your side.  all these lies Branko told to the inspectors so imagine what they thought of me when I would call and try to explain myself.  Branko also told them he couldn't get the work done because no one is ever there to let him in. I told the inspector, he's had a key for ten months to come and go as he pleases.  Lies, lies lies. That's what he's good at for 30 years.  See my attachments.  This negativity is too much after a year of it already.  I may not respond to anymore replies.  I just don't have the energy for it.  Sounds evasive,  I was fighting breast cancer during this time and even with Branko knowing, he still treated a customer like this.  Says even less about him as a person.  So I'm kind of done with the negative energy expended on him. That's partly why it took me so long to respond to his reply.  See my attachments as proof.  Branko only has words. Won't allow me to attach design or rebates due to permission needed for picture.  will try to figure something out.

Job Changed by her so many times

Kim's project was 1st & 2nd floor only. We ended up doing the basement, front stairs, side yard lighting, and back porch electrical work for free. She changed drywall depth several times and that's why outlets were recessed so we had to use spacers to make flush with wall and she made us install all trim on walls without drywall. She changed her kitchen layout 4 times, each time we re-wired for new design( free of charge).

That's why we were there 10 months and as of now she still is not done and we have installed finished outlets and fixtures and switches on walls without drywall!!! And when drywall was installed, it was installed over our outlets, we don't do drywall patching but she said her drywaller was not coming back( no wonder) so we patched with expanding  foam, the best we could do!

City of Chicago electrical inspector passed all of our wiring throughout entire building and was amazed at finished trim installed on open walls. And Kim says she is a General Contractor.  I do quality work and pass inspections with all necessary permits. I have been doing this for 30 years and every so often I run across a psycho customer(s), three of them on this web site!!( sorry but that's the best description) . God could not make her or these others happy!

Also, as for these cut gas lines, this is an old building that has gaslight piping in the electrical boxes in the ceiling. I disconnected them for safety sake; she was angry that the plumber had to re-pipe the lines. She wasn't happy that I stopped a potential fire hazzard!!
