The most unprofessional person/people we have encountered in this business. Kimberly Yvette Stephens [team] issued our client a ticket to attend an event on February 2nd. On February 7th, the actual day of the event, Kimberly Y. Stephens, a Talent Executive / Event Manager in the Entertainment industry, sent an email to our agency to reverse the decision for our client to attend the event, therefore causing our client to miss out on other opportunities and a paid entertainment job.   There were two clients submitted. Both received confirmations on February 2nd to attend the event on February 7th. Kimberly Y. Stephens revoked their confirmation agreement on February 7th, even though they had already been issued tickets.

After the mishap was brought to the attention of Executive Kimberly Y. Stephens regarding the oversight and PROOF that the tickets had already been issued to our clients five days prior, in a very unprofessional and cowardly act, Kimberly Y. Stephens, after rescinding their ticketed confirmations the day of the event, failed to issue an apology for the overturn. Stephens acted purposefully as she did not acknowledge any of the confirmations from her team that had been sent over the course of 5 days that preceded the event. Stephens made no other explanations, only stating that due to a limited number of spaces on the red carpet and in the theater, the clients could not be accomodated.

In addition, Stephens neglected to respond to follow-up correspondence regarding the situation, thus causing further damage to her credibility as a working professional in the industry. However, exactly 15 minutes after the follow-up email was sent to Kimberly Y. Stephens containing the supporting documentation, LaShawna Saint-Preux of TV ONE TV, who was believed to be working alongside Kimberly Y. Stephens on the project, sent out a group email to both clients [the day of the event] stating that they were uninvited. Yet, less than 24 hours prior Saint-Preux had sent out an email to the same clients welcoming them as attendees to the event.    Kimberly Y. Stephens and LaShawna Saint-Preux failed to follow through despite being able to do so. Therefore, both of them acted negligently in departing in such conduct expected of a reasonably prudent person acting under similar circumstances.    In our opinion, these individuals cannot be trusted, they lack organization and seemingly were all participants in the process that caused chaos, confusion, a distrust of professionals in the industry, and a great loss of time and money, though it is not immediately known who played the greatest role.    In all there were three individuals involved; Kimberly Y. Stephens, The K Stephens Group, KSG, 323-376-9434, kimberlystephens1206@gmail.com, Briana Claiborne, JL Media PR, 818-850-6264, jlmediaprassistant2@gmail.com, and LaShawna Saint-Preux, 301-755-2865, LSaint-PreuxCW@tvone.tv

Further, this is the very behavior that give PR representatives a bad name.  No publicist should have to experience having to cancel on their talent the DAY OF AN EVENT because a Talent Executive decides THE DAY OF THE EVENT that there is not enough space on the carpet or in the theater. Talent have other engagements and commitments that they plan around weeks, months - sometimes years in advance, and to cancel on them THE DAY OF THE ACTUAL EVENT - where they were confirmed already and had received their tickets and loss money as a result of having the event scheduled then being abruptly denied to attend the DAY OF THE EVENT is just NOT good business practice.    We have all of the email documents from all parties involved including the issued tickets if anyone needs/wants to verify the validity of this report.
