KING&kING IS A LAW FIRM THAT HANDLES CHAPTER #13 cases.Anyway we had refiled our chapter 13 under the old law before the new law started with King&King anyway we had to court in August2005 for metro 2000 which is pertaining to our home they were saying that we had not made a payment since we filed bankruptcy
My husband had made an appointment to talk to one of the attoneys in the law firm. we gave them copies of our house payment and that we were not behind
In December, 2005 we suppose to go for our confirmation but then they had confirmation and metro both the same day
Our Attorney that we had came to court with none of the information that we had given him a week before the cofirmation.
It was so happend my wife had bought all the reciepts to court with her
Austin who is the attorney for metro 2000 was saying that we had not made a payment and they were saying that we owed $1400.00 which is not true and we showed it to our attorney and it was like the were believing mr Austin the attorney for metro 2000
Later my husband ask them could we go a chapter 7 under the old he told if we pay them $5oo.oo more and that to give the house back
Later my wife went online and found out that we could file a chapter 7 meaning reafirming as long as we were not behind on our house payment.
My husband had let them know that we were giving the house up because the amount they were asking was not right and we showed it to our attorney and now since he has given the house they are still taking money out his check every week and we are no longer in the home
They have caused me to lose my home and not informing me that I could keep my house under chapter7 as long as my house payments were current and that it was

I am the office manager at King & King. We are attorneys practicing bankruptcy in Atlanta, Georgia. We always endeavor to represent our clients as vigorously as possible.
I checked King & King's records and could not find clients named Terry & Antoinette from Union City, Georgia around 2005-2006, so it is possible this report was filed in error or by a competitor of King & King.
It appears that these clients got behind on their mortgage payments in bankruptcy, and the mortgage company was moving to remove bankruptcy protection from the house. When this happens, if the clients can provide proof that all mortgage payments were made, King & King can always protect the clients' house. Even if the clients can only provide proof that they made some payments, King & King can usually work out an agreement with the mortgage company allowing the clients some extra time to catch up on what is past due.
In this case, despite what they may say, it appears that the clients were not able to prove that they had made all the mortgage payments, and therefore they lost their home. This is very unfortunate, but had they produced the proof of payments as required, King & King would have been able to fight the mortgage company and help the clients stay in their home as we have done so many times.
King & King always fights for clients in court. Had these clients been able to produce the necessary proof of payment, King & King would have been able to help them save their home.
