My Wife and I purchased a townhome timeshare at Kings Creek Plantation.  We purchased a even year timeshare with the Gauruntee that we could purchas the odd year within 2 years at the same price.

We should have realized from the start that the high pressure sales tactics would not last the 90 minuites that we were told,  and the presentation/sales pitch lasted over 4hrs. 

The complete presentation was deceptive.  We were told that we would not have any financial responsibilities on the year that we didnt own.  However the following year we recieved a bill for annual dues.  After several calles the admitted that it was a mistake. We were also advised by our salesman that the annual assesment had never gone up more than about 8 to 10 percent.  In 6 years it has almost doubbled. Plus we were sent an additional assessment for building improvements.

Our salesman also said that since we already owned another timeshare that was associated with interval International we would not need to pay for an additional Interval Membership.  Wrong, we not only needed to pay for interval we needed to pay some sort of vacation club fee even on years that we had no vacation privleges.

The final straw was when we tried to use our week last December and were told that no units were available.  Once again a lie from our salesman.  He told us that as long as there was inventory we would never be turned down.  When I tried to make the reservation  I was told there was no inventory and that Interval had available units for $189.00.
