We purchased a Kings Down (DormoSilver) mattress from Sleepy's in Nanuet NY.  Over time we developed excrutiating back pain upon waking up every morning. We contacted Sleepy's who in turn advised that a bed inspection needed to be done. The Inspector came out and "measured" the sides of the mattress and found that both sides dipped 1 3/8 inch.  After contacting Sleepy's in order to obtain the results I was told that the manufacturer (Kings Down) would only deem the mattress defective if it measured 1 1/2 inch dips and that there was basically nothing we could do.

Upon conversing with customer service at Kings Down, I was told that "They were satsified with the results from the Inspection Report." Also that we could try to contact corporate but they would end up referring me back to them.

Our issue is after spending over $1000 on what was supposed to be a great quality mattress, we have been dealing with extreme discomfort and excessive chiropractic visits just to attempt to alleviate the pains we continuously have due to this mattress. The outrageous and unreasonable part is that the consumer has no rights or recourse.  It is blatenly obvious there is a significant dip on both sides of the mattress, which is only 1/8 of an inch away from their guideline of 1 1/2 inch.
