Well after leaving my job back in January to stack my college schedule with 18 credits the semester finally came to an end. I decided it was best to start looking for a job since I have 4 solid months before classes resume.

I came across an ad on Craigslist for a sales position, and with my sales background I felt "Hey why not give them a call?" so I did. I got the answering machine and left a message for Gary, the apparent owner of G & D Associates. My call was returned the next morning from Gary where we set up an initial "interview" if that's what you'd like to call it. So the next morning I headed on over for the interview, which was extremely hard to locate since it was above a chiropractic office with NO sign or anything, but I figured what the hell.

I walk in to music playing and was greeted by the receptionist, where I was given my application. I filled it out, handed it in, and was called into Gary's office. So Gary starts telling me about himself, trying to impress me with his Masters in Physical Education from some unknown school and what not so I just let him talk. He briefly goes over my application and immediately starts talking about coming in for orientation. It was that exact moment that I began to grow skeptical, strike 1, since my 2 previous employers correctly interviewed me, checked references, ran a background check, went through a 2nd interview, and so on. But since the current job market is stagnant I figured I'd sit in on the orientation.

So it's 11:00am and I'm in a room with 4 other people, 3 women 1 guy. Of the women one was a complete airhead, the other spoke broken English, and the third to my surprise was completely normal. The other guy was actually really nice, early 20's, but I knew he'd fall for the scheme that was about to happen.

Gary starts telling us about Warren Buffet, which NO ONE KNEW WHO HE WAS!, and how much money he makes and how amazing it is to own this and that. He then follows to insult and belittle the female present with sexual remarks, and I'll even share one with you.

"You women are beautiful, however, I can tell you all apart but if I flipped all of you upside down you'd all look like sisters to me."

This was strike 2, being that his demonstration of how he carried himself was of a 17yr old wise a**. But, I still gave him a chance to redeem himself. He started luring us to come back on Monday and Tuesday for training by telling us if we completed training we'd all get tickets to the Bahamas and $100 cash. It sounded nice so I stayed put and let him put on his show for everyone, demonstrating that "a Kirby is not a vacuum but a household multi-functioning necessity!." To be honest, it does seem like a great vacuum, but $2000?!?!? C'monnn that's just ridiculous.

So I come home, do a Google search on Kirby and checked out several websites with TONS of complaints with misleading information and deceptive pay scales. I literally read hundreds of reviews to ensure I was right. Stike 3!

Monday is my TRAINING, but I will not just blow it off. Instead, I will compile useful info, links provided, and print out several copies. I will then confront Gary in front of EVERYONE with my research on Kirby and the tricks that he planned on getting me and the other 5 into. I do not tolerate being lied to and taken advantage of, it's just how I was raised. So Monday at 9am I will bring hell down on G & D Associates...follow up coming Tuesay...

Hello, i am the young 20 yr old as talked about in the last report. my story is similar to his but i was a chump to stay for so long. I Started to question the job when i found out that they were sneaking me in peoples homes by promising me 2 clean a carpet. so i would demonstrate the product, which was a great product but def. not worth there asking price of 1,790$. I have not been payed for this job,nor received any trip to the Bahamas. This guy "Gary" as he says usually referred to as "G Unit" haa, can be found in tr on fischer blvd. U can contact "G Unit" at 732-693-6036. All woman reading this, i would appreciate it if you could all let Gary know what u thought about his JOKE.

IN conclusion, this guy is a pathetic excuse for an employer especially reaching for "young college students" as described in the ad.

DONT WORK FOR THIS CHUMP,
