Kirby Vacuum Extremly aggressive sales Orange Park Florida

I had a terrible experience with Kirby door to door salespeople. Do not let them in your home. It was late in the day, when the doorbell rang I assumed it was a neighborhood kid selling something. I opened the door and a woman was there, very friendly, she just wanted me to look at her product. I said okay, while she went out to her van. I thought she was bringing back something to my porch.

Well she dissapeared, and a young man pushed his way in with several boxes. He proceeded to show me everthing the vacuum did, the whole time I am kicking myself for letting him in, and trying to hint that I'm not interested in buying a vacuum. he said he just wanted to show me the product and if I thought it was good, I could tell my friends, besides he said, he was cleaning my floor for free. so finnally he finished, and the next thing I knew another man was in my house.

This was the sales guy. I told him right away I wasn't interested. He ignored me and started trying to sell me the vacuum. The first price was $2500. He kept going down to $999. I must have said no 50 times. He acted like he was not going to leave without at least a down payment of $200. He called me a liar when I said I could'nt afford it, then said I was a terrible mother for letting my family live in a filthy home. My home is very clean, but his vacuum did pick up more dirt than my $100 dirt devil.

I was upset by this time, but they would not leave, he got really nasty and said I had wasted their time. Finnally after I said look I'm not buying anything today -you need to leave or I'm calling someone to throw you out. They packed up and left.

I have never been treated so rudely by a salesperson. All that about recommending them was a lie because he didn't even leave a card. He wanted to sell a vacuum then and there, or not at all. I'm beginning to wonder if they weren't up to some kind of scam. I never saw the woman again, I guess she was used to get in the door.
I suggest if you want to buy a Kirby vacuum do it online or find a sales center. Don't let these idiots in your home.
