This isn't the usual Customer gripe heard so often about Kiwi. My complaint is linked to their service issues however. I worked for Kiwi for about a month because I was told I could earn a living doing so. The company runs ads in Craigs List advising would be contractors that they can earn up to $800.00 to $1,500.00 per week .I worked 12-14 hours a day running appointments for Kiwi and my last check for 2 weeks was for $770.30. This after using approximately $180.00 of fuel I paid for.  What Kiwi keeps telling it's techs is that "things will get better" .. they will even loan you money so you can buy more gas to run their appointments. Of course, any money you "borrowed"  will be deducted from your next check. In Austin we even had some more fun issues to deal with such as; Each tech was issued 1 that is one green Kiwi Shirt and NO more. My wife would meet me at our door and the first thing she wanted was that shirt so it could be washed for the next day. We were also told that due to our manager's injury that she could no longer do laundry so now we were instructed to wash the bonnets used for carpet cleaning in our homes.

What finally did it for me was when I went  to the office on the first day of the work week I had arrived early to attempt to locate a missing run that I had dropped off at the office for cleaning. We had our usual meeting and I left to go do a job that I had personally booked based on the needs of my customer. I was called back to the office and told that I must find the missing rug. I informed the manager that I was a contractor not a hourly employee. Bottom line I was expected to give up a set appointment to work for nothing and leave the customer I promised to take care of waiting.

This is why no tech ends up staying at Kiwi long and why service in Austin suffers. The techs work for poverty wages and the Dallas Corporate Office will bleed then dry.

Everything is cheap at kiwi especially a techs lifestyle. I am a mature person not a young man complaining out of frustration. I have NEVER been treated the way I have at Kiwi. It is the worst enviroment I have ever tried to do a good job within. If I had not been popular with the customers I came in contact with I would remain silent. Because these customers requested my return is the only reason I want to let all who read this true and accurate account know that I care enough not to let a wrong go unanswered.
