kleinfelds bridal SOLD ME A FAKE DESIGNER DRESS!! Internet

My daughter and I visited Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan in October of 2009. I purchased a Stephen Yearick gown that my daughter fell in love with. At the time we were told delivery would take 5 to 6 months. 9 MONTHS later her dress arrived!! Be that this was Kleinfeld and that I paid over 8,000 for this dress I would have expected better service, soon to find out it only GOT WORST.

My daughter made her appt. for alterations and surprise to her she put her gown on and it was too small, about one size to small. She ordered a 10 and this fit like the sample size 8. My daughter requested the sample she tried on to compare the two gowns. Surprise, surprise they could not find the sample dress, one sales women said it was "discontinued"! My daughter also noticed that the lining was torn and inside seams were worn and frayed. Well this made my daughter sick to her stomach, she called me crying. She knew that Kleinfeld had given her the SAMPLE GOWN!! She and I spoke to the Manager and asked for a new gown or her money back. The Manager refused, and stated they would fix the torn lining and frayed edges. We did not trust Kleinfeld and took the dress to have alterations done at another Bridal shop.

Now at the other Bridal store we noticed in their open stock room the same Stephen Yearick gown. But this was different then my daughter gown the beading and design was different!! I talked with the alterations manager at this salon and she told me that my daughter dress was definitely a sample and also looked like a designer knock off! I was floored HOW DARE KLEINFELD DO THIS TO BRIDES!! I have not told my daughter of what the alteration manager told me, her wedding is Aug 2nd and I don't want to make her anymore upset then she is. We will however be taking this to court!!
