Knights INN Owner gives Knights INN franchise bad name! Ripoff! TERRE HAUTE Indiana

february 18, 2005 three families were to get a room at Knights INN in Terre Haute. We were celebrating my nieces going away to Northwest Christian College. We were having a cake, and gifts for her. This wasn't a big beer party and the only reason we needed hotel accommodations was my brothers lived out of town. My 18 year old sister and niece showed up first and gave credit card info and driver license info to try to reserve the rooms, but the male receptionist said they needed someone 21/over. I was there in 10 minutes and gave the guy my license and credit card information.

Everything was fine until the owner came in and right away asked if I was with the girls that tried to get a room. I replied yes and right then the guy started yelling at me and my 9 year old daughter that he didn't allow drinking and partying. I told him no drinking was planned and their were children attending. I also told him we are a Christian family and didn't believe in drinking either.

He persisted on calling me a bad person, non Christian, stupid fool. Remind you we just attend church and my daughter and I both in long skirts and long sleeve blouses. I couldn't' believe this man was saying this to me I was just appalled. Needless to say we were humiliated and embarrassed. He waded his fist up and came from behind the counter in my face and said to me "my kind always discriminates against his kind all the time! I may be a Christian but have never discriminated against Iranians/ever I told him. He said my kind break things and we were to heavy for his beds.

My little girl started crying and he told her to shut the he** up and she ran to the car to get daddy/my husband. I told him I was also a business owner and would never treat anyone like this, he started calling me a f ing b, stupid b, and f ing ignorant Christian! Anyhow while I stood there and took this my husband comes in only to hear him saying "your kind are bad people you discriminate against my kind" AND THIS IS THE OWNER DOING THIS! Mind you in front of other guest, as they stood behind me in shock along with the counter person.

I don't know why I felt I needed to defend myself but I just couldn't believe this was happening. I've never been treated like this and felt so attacked by someone who was labeling me trash. I have no idea what this guy was thinking, and the guest behind me left and said they'll take their business elsewhere. I've stayed at the old Knights INN 9 times and never once had any problems. My husband said you have her credit card what's the big deal, take it out if damage is done.

The owner said your kind is no good, and my husband said what kind is that? And owner replied you stupid Christians. My husband said he'd rather be Christian than be prejudiced like him, and he called my husband a dumb a*s, son of a *itch, and mother fu****. Anyhow we left and the owner followed us off the parking lot in his little ol minivan and tailgated us for two blocks. Mind you we are in a little PT Cruiser and my 9 year old was terrified.
