Knightsbridge Recievables Management, LLC. claimed we had an oustanding balance on a credit card from 2004 and must pay or be reported to credit report Cincinnati Ohio

My wife recieved a call from these people stating we had an outstanding balance on a credit card which we had never heard of from 2004. They would only give my wife the last 4 digits of the account and said it must be paid quicky or it would reflect on our credit report. Mind you the balance given at the beginning of the conversation quickly dropped $1000 during this call.

My wife called the credit card company of which she was told and they had no record of it or us and mentioned that they usually collect debt from in house and would never have anything from as far back as 2004 anyway.

The next evening my wife received another call from these "debt collectors" and asked why she had never been mailed anything in the past about this "debt". The women said they dont like to use the postal service for fear of information getting lost, stolen, etc..

My wife then asked if she would send her an e-mail with the information. We received an e-mail and noticed the account number did not match the last 4 digits they gave in the original phone call.

That is where we stand to date. Not sure what our next move should be.
