Knott's Berry Farms not the place to order from!

Knott's Berry Farms sent me a catalog in the mail. I sent them an order and check on Nov.11, 2001. It cleared my bank on the 19th. I called Customer Service on December 4th, over 3 weeks from my order date and was told they were waiting on one item that would be there in 2 days and the order would be shipped then. Most places would have shipped the remainder items and sent the other later but not Knotts. I called again Dec. 16, was told the same thing and that the order would go out Monday.I explained it was a Christmas order and I had ordered over a month before. I was assured it would get here by Christmas. I called 12-24, it was suppose to go out in 3 days. On 12-28, it still had not been shipped and I requested a refund. Now it was after Christmas, and been almost 7 weeks. They could not explain why the order had never been shipped, just said it should have. on January 22, 2002, I called again and was told the order had gone out on 12-28-01. They said they had no record of a request for a refund, almost a month before and 2 1/2 months since I had ordered. I never received the order. It was supposedly sent through the US mail, and could not be checked, although I had been told before it would come UPS. Of course anything can be tracked through the mail, it just takes some effort. She but me on hold and came back to tell me they would send a check in about 2 weeks. Because Anita was so rude, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me she was one. I asked to speak to her boss. She said Caroline had stepped out and didn't know when she would be back. I thanked her, hung up, immediately called back, waited forever again as usual for a representative to come on. Andrea was nicer but would not put me through to Caroline. She put me on hold and came back and told me Caroline(who must have hurried back) would expedite getting a check sent and it would go out tomorrow. I received a temperary check from a different company with a form letter on 2-4-02, almost 3 months from my order date. It said" Enclosed please find our Knottt's Berry Farm Food refund check along with our deepest apologies that everything was not up to your satisfaction". It was not signed, had no one's name attached or even a phone number. I would not reccommend you order from Knott's, unless you don't care whether you ever receive your order and don't mind being lied to and speaking to rude "supervisors".
