I used this computer repair place a year ago 01/12/09 and now one year later they have billed my credit card to renew a membership for their services. I called them the very day it showed up on my credit card account. The only person who Ive been able to talk to (Office Manager) says they will not cancel the charge! On the work order form the back has fine print that she says spells out the terms. They did not tell or mention anything to me about this. She says they dont have to tell customers anything about it. Cant believe they are so money hungry and treat customers this way. I feel they tricked me with hidden clauses they got stuck in there. All I wanted was my computer repaired and not to be still paying for it a year later!!!. I feel like they are running a very unethical company and she would only give me a PO Box for their address. I guess they are doing this to lot of people as seen other complaints on yellowpages.com. I want the credit card charge refunded.

I have been a member of Knowledgeable Nerd for 5 years. They have saved me thousands of dollars over the term of our membership. I use to pay 75/hour to get my computer repaired plus a trip charge by other local computer repair companies. My business had an annual expense of 2,000 for computer repair/maintenance in 2006 when i joined.
Since i joined i have an annual contract fee of 159 for my computers and a low service call fee of 35/trip. I have them out about 6-8 times a year to fix any issues that come up. The low base membership fee of 159 plus 35 for each call (159+(35*8 trips/year)= 439 annual cost to have them service my small business. A very good savings compared to 2,000 in previous years.
I would recomend the technician Stephen. He is very good and i have been very happy with him. If you know what you are signing up for and use them multiple times you will save. if you only use them for one trip it is not a great deal for sure. just know what you are doing. if you use 2 times/year you win. The more you use, the more you save as each extra trip is just your service call fee. i have 5 computers on my agreement and they work on each of them when they come for service call.
very happy with the service and would recomend them to any dallas metro business who uses computer repair twice per year on site.

I am a big fan of Knowledgeable Nerd along with multiple family members of mine. I stumbled accross this while looking for a phone number for one of there locations. I must say that they are well known for their membership contracts. They take the expensive side out of computer repair and make it affordable. If they where so money hungry they would charge a heck of alot more for their services.. I have had nothing but great service from them and the contract was well explained to me at the time i signed up. Again thats why they are a Memberhsip based company.. All you had to do is cancel within 30 days of your anniversary. There are always two sides to every story??
