KONICA MINOLTA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS ripoff dishonest neglegent manufacture commercial printers with missing parts and remain irresponsible RAMSEY New Jersey

Making a 3 year long story short...Aug 2004, we leased a new printer (CF5001) from Konica Minolta.

Three days after delivery we began to have problems with the toner not fusing to the paper printed. the toner could be scratched off with your fingernail. We reported problem to Konica.

They sent technicians out that had no train knowledge on how to repair their lastest released printer.(CF5001).????? But the tech discovered that vital parts were missing on the inside of the printer, which had been manufactured in japan.

They installed parts but did not resolve the problem. requested a replacement, they refused. assured us that it could be repaired. why would a company want to spend $1300.00 a mo on a $40,000 piece of equipment that did not work thre days prior to delivery, that would absord 6 x 3 square feet of space, produce nothing salable and pay a monthly fee with no profitable returns is beyond me.

Numerous letters to the company and it's President and legal dept. produced no results except contant promises of repairs.

Meanwhile the monthly payments are increasing. techicians are being sent 2 or 3 times per week running test copies, therefore running up our meter read service contract bill which we were being charged for.

We hired 2 different attorneys to no avail. The company was so powerful until both attorneys backed off of the case without telling us the results or out come of court appearences.

Konica Minolta attempted to sue us for non-payment. filed UCC claims against us so that we must now apply for secured financing in order to upgrade our (7) other copier. we have now on our company credit file a history of slow pay. when infact we lease 4 additional copiers and printing equipment through Citicorp Vendor Finance, and have for the past 10 years, making payment of over $2000.00 per mo on time or before. what happen to all of that excellent credit history.

Konica Minolta has tryed to do everything in their power to destory our business with out taking us to court. If there is anyone out there with a similar problem please contact us. we've considered civil suit, be need others. we can be reached at www.711copyprinting.com and will respond immediately.

We still have this equipment on the premises. Konica refuses to come and get it, they could have even with a sherif or court order. that's because they know the equipment is junk and they can write it off. Thanks guys.

All advise and sugguestions accepted. We did find out through affiliate printers that some also leased the same copier. An ex- Konica Sales Rep. reported leasing/selling this copier to churches, schools & private organizations and upon speaking to some of the affiliates we learned that the Caucasion companies were either refund or replacements of the copier were given to them, on the other hand African American companies were blown off.
We actually took a survey from all companies we were able to acquire phone number for. Any help welcomed. Thanks Guys for the opportunity to display this info. Our complaint to the BBB and Attorney General was to no avail because we were not private consumers, but a small business.
