We purchased a 2000 Ford Windstar from Koons. The car has had mildew smells from the beginning that would take your breath away.

Koons service says it is normal and just use a deodorizer even though my child is allergic to mold and continually getting sick. Then, the smell got so bad they tore the AC/heater section apart and found a substance in a closed section, one of the repair guys said it must have come from the factory.

Koons said that they were sending it back to Ford for testing, comes to find out when we left they threw it away. What was are children being exposed to?, we will never know because Koons lied and was more concerned about getting rid of it than finding out the problem.

Just recently the van released a chemical when it was first started that caused chemical pneumonitis in my wife. My youngest was in the van at the time and has been extremely ill with secondary infections of the throat and lungs, but to Koons and Ford this was normal and did no repairs and told us to take it to an outside source, what good is a warranty?

My wife refuses to drive the vehicle because of the health risk this van has caused our family. We don't want to trade it in causing anyone else any health problems.

We just got a certified letter today from the General Manager at Koons saying that they have done everything according to Ford Motor Companies guidelines and procedures. Please don't buy from Koons or Ford Motor Company if this is what their warranty's guidelines and procedures are all about, which continues to put their customers health at risk without repairing the problem or accepting they have a problem.

We saw it with the tires, gas tanks and now we are starting to see it with this, they don't accept when they have a problem they ignore it. Please don't buy from Koons or Ford Motor Company, you don't deserve to be ignored.

I am telling my story, so others will not have to go through what we have been through over the past three years with Koons and Ford Motor Company. Every level of both companies have been fully aware of problem and we continue to get the run around.
