Kraftwekk9 inc Dysplastic puppy 9 months old Rochester, Washington

We purchased a puppy from Kraftwerk K9 in 2007, at 9 months old we had her hips x-rayed due to lameness. Our vet told us she was severely dysplastic in her right hip and borderline in her left hip.

We contacted Kraftwerk K9 immediately after we learned about her hip dysplasia. We sent a certified letter as stated by Kraftwerks puppy contract. After two weeks without any response from Kraftwerk we sent a second certified letter, after three weeks without any contact from Kraftwerk we phoned the kennel. I was only allowed to talk to the kennel manager and not to the owner; I was told they never received the letters. We sent all the information including x-rays, and a letter from our vet by email, and still did not hear anything from Kraftwerk K9.

After replacing her right hip we sent the new x-rays and a letter from the orthopedic vet to Kraftwerk, and again we heard nothing from them.

We are now getting ready to replace her left hip and have contacted the kennel about this, the office manager said to me, what do you want us to do about it, we are three years into it at this point.

Their puppy contract states they will give us half off another puppy, $1,250, or replace the dog if we send her back to be euthanized. According the Kraftwerk they never received any information about this issue therefore they will not honor their contract.

We have spent $2,500 to purchase the puppy, we put $4,000 into her right hip, and will put in another $4,000 into her left hip. I feel we purchased a half of a puppy because we have to replace the back half of the dog. Therefore Kraftwerk should give me $1,250 for the half of the dog that was defective when we purchased her.

We did everything their puppy contract said to do, and have not had any response about our poor dog. We lived up to our end of the contract however Kraftwerk did not!
