In December 2007 Kristal M. Baker asked my daughter to come to her house at and display her jewelry that she had for sale for Christmas. This jewelry was handmade by my daughter and my daughter had paid for all the materials herself. She was 18 at the time and was trying to start her own business. Kristal Baker lived in a very nice house on a ranch and picked out nearly $700.00 in jewelry that she was planning on giving as Christmas gifts to her family and friends. She wrote check number 6307 drawn on Woodforest national bank account number 1721312138. It bounced and she has refused to pay my daughter for any of the jewelry.

After giving her the run around for several months my daughter finally filed it with an attorney but the attorney never filed it and we can not reach her about it. We are trying to follow up, but in the meantime I found her name already listed on this website, so I just wanted to warn people not to do business with her.

You don't need an attorney..

Have your daughter go down to the local court house and file a Small Claims Case against this person.

You may also want to contact your local District Attorney, because a NSF check is considered Check Fraud and they may prosecute this person along with you getting a judgment for the amount owed. Granted if this is her first offense she probably won't get any jail time, but would probably be hit with a fine, probation, and be "in the system" if she ever tried it again.
