Kristy Sinsar Ashtyn Ryan Echo Social PR Signed a one year contract, took $9000, did not finish product or services Bend Oregon

On October 17, 2016, I signed a one year agreement, in detail, and supplied $5000.00 up front with another $4000.00 a month later for specific services and products to be completed. 

I was to own all rights to all content and services done by Kristy Sinsara, Ashtyn Ryan, and Echo Social PR.  I paid as follows:

$1500.00 up front for book copies.  book series was to include a minimum of 6 books. I agreed to have 3 books fully finished to start selling by December 2016 and then the other 3 books could be worked on to be finished by the end of the year contract on October 17, 2017.

$3500.00 for book illustrations.  I agreed to have all books illustrated in full

$2500.00 for website development. I paid Kristy Sinsara to buy Safespaceseries dot org and dot net. I was to fully own the domains and after said agreement, they were to be handed over for myself to run.

$1000.00 for publicist query letters.  I agreed to a minimum of 50 query letters to be sent to publishers. 

To date, 8 months after the contract ended, I have 3 unfinished books only in PDF format. She refuses to finish or give me the program they were done in to finish myself. They are missing page numbers, the about the series page, the about the author page, the dedication/thank you page with all my book titiles. The last book cover is actually the last page of book one that they tried to pass as an original book cover. I called them out where they changed the background to differ from book one, which I allowed to just get the book done. They lied to me for an extended period of time about having the original illustrator, when in fact, he had quit and nothing was being done on books. Ashtyn Ryan was my "creative director" on the series, yet I have not spoken to her since approx April of 2017. I have requested meetings to speak with her through Kristy Sinsara and have been told that will never happen. 

I have two rough copies of book one. The first copy was just to show me what they can do and get an idea of what they would look like. The second rough copy of book one was to give me a more to scale view but the title was spelled wrong. Numerous times, I was told I would be getting many finished copies and did not. 

My website was finally designed with squarespace shortly before my contract was to be up. It was handed over to me without the passwords. It then stopped being a live web page that others can see or access. The information was all wrong as well. I requested the passcodes which I was given for squarespage, not the godaddy domain page. I was then lied to until 3 weeks ago, being told I owned the domain safespaceseries dot com and net. However, after speaking with godaddy directly, I was told that I infact do not own those domains as Kristy let them go into default by not paying and they sent her notifications through email 3 times 60 days prior to the default.  Kristy never informed me of this and allowed the domain to default and remain owned by godaddy which subsequently caused them to sky rocket in price. The dot net is now taken and the dot com is approx $2495.00 to re purchase when it was already supposed to be mine!  I have asked for the password, email used to create the godaddy account and the last four of the credit card used to pay for it originally, which godaddy told me I needed to re purchase.  Kristy refused to give me any information for me to regain control of MY DOMAIN!  I had to get someone to fix website through squarespace and buy a new domain just to get it live again. 

Zero query letters have been sent to publishers.  Kristy claims to have sent some out but refuses to give me any information on who or when. 

I filed in small claims to get my money back and she has now counter paid, denying she owes me my money back when none of the things I paid for were completed through a contractual agreement signed by us both!

I now have to spend more time, money, and energy to fight her for my money back on top of having to hire another person to finish everything she failed to do.  

Kristy Sinsara, Ashtyn Ryan doing business as Echo Social PR are nightmares to work with.  I have since learned she did this same thing to Vince Neal of Motley Crue. I have spoke to his attorney, James Kohl, who advised me not to back down and take her to court.  Kristy has a long legal record in Oregon, Nevada, California, and Oklahoma. She also goes as Kristy McGaha. 

Be very careful when dealing with her.
