KSL Promotions, The Cobra Group bunch of lying manipulators and dumb ***es - completely untrustworthy! Brighton & London United Kingdom

i started to work for these guys earlier this year- like most people who get ripped off by these so called 'marketing companies' i was a graduate desperate for a job and quick cash and responded to one of their ads in the paper.I got this long speech over the phone about how its a successful marketing company that works for clients "globally, promoting and advertising their products and services for them" etc etc- basically a pile of utter bullshit. but i was foolish enough and desperate and went along to an interview- the guy who interviewed me was a new 'Owner' of his company KSL Promotions.At this stage i was still unclear as to what the role actually involved. When interviewed i was offered the role as 'Administrator' for the co instead which i was well chuffed about! i had no idea what it actually involved and no idea that i was going to be overworked and stressed out as well as assisting someone to rip off people!

Somehow i worked for this company for almost five months! during which i recruited over 40 people and every single one left. i began to see patterns emerging and worst of all i was becoming a PA to a guy i couldn't stand at all! what is more i was promised a pay rise after 3 months of working, but when i did ask my manager about this, she ignored me. i was so pissed off, but needed to pay bills! everyday i was seeing the owner of the company taking ex workers wages for himself, working utterly underhand and unprofessionally- on top of which he was extremely difficult to be around- he would prat around the office and was so vain- he would contantly look at the wall pannelled mirrors and play s**t music on the stereo! i felt very sorry for the Field Reps who worked there and hoped that they would one day be running their own company. KSL were promising each new FR at least 300 a week but in reality people were hardly earning 30!! They were being promised that they too would one day work globally with their own company and be earning at least 200000 a year- such crap!the Owner was also taking a massive cut of everyone's wages, and he wouldn't pay people their money if they left- i felt so guilty as i was the person who was recruting these people! it was such an awkward situation to be in.

I have a million more things i could write about these lot; they lie so much! they make the new guys who join the team say their pitch when they go out doors and do their sales work and in reality people are being ripped off. The owner of this company was so unprofessional as well and he would slag off his own mangers to me. i had a script i had to follow and that was how i booked people in for interviews -booking interviews and second stage interviews got administrators/owners points so basically all the offices in the uk are competing with each other- so there is a lot of pressure on the admins and we don't even get paid s**t!!!

The hours are ridiculous, not only for FR's who can work from 10:30am till 10:pm- unpiad!!! as it is all commisssion based! but also for admins- i worked sometimes 48 hours a week and everytime i complained my manager in Glasgo would say that ours is a small office and i should be able to handle this! i felt so frustaterd. i booked my leave for two weeks and i realised then how brainwashed i had become and sent them my notice of leave!!!

Never trust a company like this ever again! it isn't 'marketing' at all- it's sales and in fact its worse than sales! people are offered the opportunity to progress up into the company ut in fact progression to ownershit won't happen for at least 3 years! it is such a scam and i am relieved i am not part of it any more!
