Kwik Kar and General Manager Kevin Moore in Colleyville, Texas have been very unfair in backing there quality and safety of their repairs.

I had a front brake job in April 2002 where they were suppose to replace the front brake pads and rotors and I would have a unlimited warranty for $196.00 on my Dodge Duragno.

In December of 2002, I started hearing some noise when I would reverse the vehicle. I had to have tires replaced at another facility so when I went in I asked them to check my back brakes. The back brakes were fine, but they asked me who did the last brake job. I told them Kwik Kar in Colleyville in April. The Service Manager told me that there was no top caliper bolt in the left front side holding the tire on. They also told me these just do not fall out and it is unsafe to drive the vehicle. They offered to go down and pick up a bolt and put it on for me. When they were going to put on a new one they figured out how the bolt was missing is that the area where the bolt goes is stripped so they were unable to do the repair and suggested I call Kwik Kar. I called Kwik Kar and spoke to the General Manager, Kevin Moore.

I explained the situation and he said, well we only have a 90 day warranty on parts and service. I explained to him that this was not told to me when I had the job done and my invoice shows a lifetime warranty on the brakes.

On top of that the bolt is missing and it just does not fall out and it is a safety hazzard to drive, he argued with. I had the Service Manager at Firestone talk to him and he explained all that he told me and how they had to replace the entire knuckle for a customer and that is what needs to be done.

He still disagreed and stuck by this 90 day warranty, which is no where on my invoice.

Next, I went to the Dodge Dealership and talked to the Service department there and before I mentioned any of the above, I asked if this caliper bolt can just fall out and they said no.

If it fell out the Technican that did the brake job, either did not put it in or when they put it in, it was to loose and therefore eventually stripped out where the bolt holds the tire on jus fell out.

My husband and I after talking to two different service departments decided we now should go in personally and talk to Kevin Moore at Kwik Kar. We did and he blamed it on me and everyone else, besides that they could have made the mistake. He said he would drive over and take a look at it that day or he promised the next day.

I had explained to him that it was stuck at Firestone and I would like to be called before he goes over. Kevin did not call that day or the next, so I called him about 11:00am and he said he was just about to call me that he would not be able to make it over there today.

I explained to him it was only 30 minutes away, he could not do it. I asked him about having it towed to his shop, he would not do that either and would not offer to pay to do that.

I told him I would pay to have it towed over, he said no. Than he told me how do I know that Firestone did not strip it? I said are you going to play that card on me now..

Heck, there was not even a bolt to do anything with, they had to go get one. He than told me, he was getting tired of being patient with them and that is when I lost it and he told me to have my attorney call him. These repairs are only around $500.00 to do and he could of done the repairs in his own shop, but he would not even work with me to do just that.

I had to take it to the dealership and have it repaired where I was told a third time that these bolts just do not fall out if they are properly installed. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and looking for other ways to complain I came across this website.

I can only hope that anyone planning to have service done with Kwik Kar in Colleyville will check to see if they have any previously complaints. Colleyville Kwik Kar moto should be, "Eager to repair and collect money lousy Quality and Customer Service"
