I took my Truck into kwik kar to have the oil changed and to have it inspected. I left the truck with them and returned to pick it up about an hour later. I was informed that it had an exaust leak and it would not pass inspection but that the oil and filters had been changed. so i took the truck up the street to a muffler shop to have the exaust leak fixed and then returned to kwik car. They inspected the truck and i drove home.
The next morning I got up and drove it four blocks to a convinience store right across from kwik kar and back home. About an hour later My girlfriends son did the same. Then about an hour later Got into the Truck and started it up and it started makeing a loud banging noise. I shut the truck off opened the hood. I pulled the Dip stick on the oil to find there was no oil in the truck. It was sunday so i had to wait till monday morning to get intouch with someone from kwik kar.
I was needless to say very upset went into Kwik kar on my lunch break and talked to who i thought was the manager and explained to him that there had not been any oil put in my truck and that there was a problem with my motor and he offered to have it towed back to his facility and if they hadn't put oil in my truck that the motor would be replaced. So I left to go back to work about two hours later I recieved a call from the general manager and he told me that his techs did put oil in my truck and that if they hadnt it wouldnt have made it out of his station without makeing noise. He also said that they put some kind of Tamper proof seal on the drain plug and that it had been broken and accused me of draining the oil on my own truck. So i am in the proccess of getting a lawyer to file suite against Kwik Kar. Unfortunately being that the Truck was my only Form of Transportation i am currently haveing to figure out how to get to and from work. I see That i am Not the only person that has had Problems with this particular Kwik Kar. So in my opinion if you are planning on useing this particular kwik car when you get done Take it to another mechanich to make sure the work you had done was done.

common sense

I'm pretty sure that the gentlemen that wrote this has common sense. If he saw that his truck was leaking oil from underneath he would have asked ??'s, but sense he didn't see any oil underneath his truck. He probably thought "HMM. They did there job now I can go home."
After reading these statments that others have written. I talked to someone that use to work there. An is now a respected mechanic at another repair shop. He has made the statement that this particular place has lied to customers before. Like putting old oil instead of new oil in cars that just had a oil change.
So unless you have been to this place. Understand that these people are untrust worthy. An have lyed before. An have threatened other OLD custmers that have made claims to false work. Don't believe me. Look on this subject about a lady who took her car in to have the brakes worked on and was told that the work had been done. An the work hadn't actual been done.

They are lying

They are correct in that they had to have put oil in the truck otherwise the engine would have launched right away. This does not mean that the truck was not leaking oil because they botched the work. The oil likely leaked out from the plug or the filter and eventually ran out of oil. One more thing there is no such thing as a tamper proof seal on oil plugs, that is a load of crap.

The Motivation To Lie

Think about this from the manager's point of view. One of his semi-trained monkeys forgets to put oil in an engine. Customer drives off and engine eventually seizes. If the manager admits the error he and the company are on the hook for several thousand dollars in engine repairs. Odds are that he loses his quarterly bonus as well as his job. That's a strong motivation to lie.
Always recheck your fluid levels before leaving the premises. If you find a critical fluid unfilled raise a loud stink and make sure other customers are made aware.
