Let me introduce you to the latest English word that La Cucina Italiana restaurant establishment exemplifies to the max. Gouge and Overpriced My son decided he would like pasta primavera...a pasta dish with marinara sauce and some vegetables on top. It was not listed on the menu so they said they had to specially make this dish for him. I had Veal Piccata an $18.00 plate, which obviously included meat. My sons was only pasta with veggies, very little veggies to boot. When the bill came I was shocked, they charged us $24.00 for the pasta primavera!! Unbelievable, no way did I ever see that price for such a simple dish on the menu. I have eaten in other Italian restaurants and ordered pasta primavera and it was only $13 - $16 at the most. I have eaten there before....too high priced for my taste and the food is not anything to write home about. Let me just say, I commented to the waiter about the price, and I saw him approach the proprieter however, you chose to gouge us anyway! I would not recommend this restaurant ever to a friend or anyone because of the way they took advantage of us!

Since you were ordering a la carte, why didn't you ask the price first before ordering? I've used this system in lots of restaurants and then decided if I wanted to order the item. Since you ordered without asking you basically said "I don't care what it costs, just bring it to me".
