LA Parking Management / Parking Violations Bureau Unfair ticketing of vehicles! Machine has been broken for 2 months the business that doesnt give a dam Los Angeles California

There is a machine at lot #614, Detroit/Wilshire, which issues permits at the rate of $20 per month, for both this lot #614 AND lot #671; 1/2 block S. of Wilshire, on Cochran Av.

For many of us who work such hours that parking on our street is impossible when we get home, this lot (#671) is a must! Now, for the last 2 months this machine has been broken or malfunctioning. I have both spoken with and left notes to Parking Violation Officers (PVO) to "Please Don't Ticket", explaing the problem, AND offering to pay if there is another way, but they leave me a note in return saying it was fixed on such and such a day. IT WAS NOT! With another ticket!

After my first 2 tickets I sent a letter to the Parking Violations Bureau explaining the problem, and that how there is no number to call to fix the machine, and that none of thier employees know anything about it, or who to call; and the only answer any of them could come up with was, That I FIRST have to pay the tickets, and then I may request a hearing in order to get an investigation.

In the mean time, the 'machine' has already eaten $20 and remains disabled, while this morning I went out to my car to find ticket # 5, w/ a note from the PVO, written on the note that I left them, saying that the machine was fixed on 4/14/03. "IT WAS NOT!"

So, I only want my $20 back (first!), and I want the Tickets removed from the computer, and I want to PAY for a permit and put all this NONSENCE behind me ie; I just want to follow the rules and be treated fairly and humanely, instead of being 'BULLIED' by another 'IRS' type of 'untouchable' Civil Service MONSTER!
