The Worst Hotel Ever! I reserved a room via their website advertising %10 off if booked through it. I have in laws coming in from out of town for Thanksgiving. There were literally no other hotels available in Sedona for Thanksgiving. So I was relieved to secure this one. I called to inquire about the advertised 10% Off. The front desk clerk Jasmine told me that since I booked a suite I could not get the discount. After discussing this for a few minutes she was dead set on not giving me the small 10% discount. I then started asking her about the hotel and amenities. Then we ended our conversation.

I then saw on my confirmation that there was something included called a bright side. So I called back and talked to Ryan. I asked him politely what is the bright side. He said,"Bright side"? I am not sure what you are talking about. Then I said oh, it say breakfast down below. He said,"Yeah, you have to keep reading". Wow! So then I asked him what that included. He said,"It is nothing special, just a continental". I then said,"Wow you really know how to sell it"! Then I get a call back in about 2 minutes with Ryan telling me that he cancelled my reservation because I was being rude. What? Because I said you really know how to sell it! That is not that rude. He was being rude by telling me I should keep reading.

I called La Quinta Central reservations and told this complete story. They were appalled! They apologized over and over again! They re-instated my reservation and called the hotel and coached Ryan on proper customer service. They told me that I should expect a call from the General Manager Kristina Walters in the morning for an apology, and probably a discount because of how poorly I was treated. So I get a call the next day from the General Manager Kristina Walters. She said that she read the notes from her night clerk and it is a completely different story. I was expecting her to do the right thing and apologize. She said,"We are canceling your reservation again"! Really? Wow! I was not being rude, and especially not to the point that they said that I was. I am going to make this known to everyone on every level that you should not give them your business. Read the other reviews. It is not just me..... They ruined my Thanksgiving!

Too bad that people have websites like this to ruin the reputation of a business and business have no way of reporting bad customers.  Why should they have given you a discount just for calling and asking for it? It is clear by your report that you probably should read before being a pain and calling to get clarification.  

It does sound as if the desk clerk could have handled it more professionally but we only have the side of the story of the person that wanted a discount without qualifying for it and then called back again to ask questions that reading would have answered for you.  Unfortunately for you people that read ripoff report know that many of these reports are because the customer was wrong or didn't bother to read all of the rules and expect the world to spoon feed them.

By the way, what makes this the worst hotel every? You didn't even stay there. Do everyone else a favor and stop being a consumer of all goods and services. You don't deserve them.
