I purchases an LA Spa less 09/00. My tub has needed service for over six weeks due to a bad motor and half the jets not working.

The company I purchased the tub from,Spa Depot at the Washington State Fair tells me that they no longer do warranty work for LA Spas due to the failure of LA Spas to pay them for their work. I had been leaving messeges with Spa Depot for two weeks before they told me that I had to deal with LA Spas directly.

I began the "battle" with a service representative of LA Spas about four weeks ago. He agreed to send me a new motor, but could not quarantee how long it would take to find someone local to install it and that it would be quicker to do it ourselves. I gave him a credit card number that he said if I do not send back the old motor within 4 weeks, I would be charged.

We recieved the motor and installed it ourselves. Half the jets in our tub still do not work. I called the service department back and to my surprise the gentelman that I had spoken to was not longer there. I was transferred to the customer service manager.

He appologized for the amount of time we have been waiting, and asked me to give him 24 hrs to arrange someone to come to my home and service my tub.

Four days later I called and he did not even remember my last name or what was wrong with my tub. We arqued for about 20 minutes about the horrible customer service that I am experiencing and that I have a 7000.00 hot tub bought and paid for in full sitting in my back yard that does not work. He came up with excuses such as short handed and that he has only talked to me one other time and did not feel responsible for the previous 4 weeks.

I told him that it does not surprise me that they can not keep their employees around and that he is responsible for the past four weeks because he represents the company and the warranty of my tub, not himself and how busy his day is. That is all irrelevant to me a customer. I only care that LA Spas recieved $7000.00 from me for a tub that does not work. The conversation ended with him telling me that he will get to me when he can.

In the meantime, I have a hot tub that is empty in my back yard. And a motor that in a week I will be charged for because I was never told where to send it and that when someone comes to service my tub they will take it.

I was assured that my card would not be charged that he promised me that it would not be charged. I laughed at him and told him is that like the promise on LA Spas web page claiming that they are second to none in warranty a quality?!

My husband and I are planning to camp at the Washington state fair in front of their business explaining to anyone who is about to buy from them what we have been going through.
