I was recruited for LAWL off Monster.com, not because of my diectician or health skills, but because of my strong retail background.
I worked for this company for about three months, in which I had lost 12 lbs. About 6 weeks into my employment, I began getting criticized about my weight. I was kept for discussions on it on more than one occasion, and finally the stress became unbareable. I was told that my selling was not up to company standards, probably because I myself was not on track with their plan.
Finally, I was terminated for not being "the right person" for the job. I asked for the termination teasions in writing, which I have yet to get--this was almost three weeks ago.
This plan is a total rip off. The number of inactive vs active clients is astounding. The people who are actually successful without having to purchase renewal weeks are few and far between. The "guarantee" is crap--read it before you sign it because if you're unhappy, you won't ever see your money back.
Sales people are paid commission on sales and are very willing to help you if you spend money in the center. The bars are unnecessary, cause constipation, and can irritate clients' with IBS. Most people are made to feel they need them, though. Clients who use the bars are prime "targets" for other sales, such as the tea or the EFA pills.
There are much better programs, such as weight watchers. Why else would they make you pay all your costs upfront? They KNOW that most people aren't completely successful or satisfied on the program.
In my time at LAWL, I saw many clients on the wrong plan, on supplements that should not have been, and doing the 2-day Take-Off that should not have done it. It was all sold to them to make a sales quota by a staff that is only interested in commission.
The health of people is a very important thing. A diectician NEVER visits the center or works up a client's plan, it's done by any "counselor" on staff. People are lied to in their consultation by associates who are TRAINED to lie. Be careful if you choose this program, your health and financial stability may be at stake.
