I ordered a 'UPA clip' from laceflair's ebay site. After paying for the product and shipping, Michelle (the ponytail maker) sent me an email asking the details of what I wanted for color, length etc. I sent all my info to her and never heard back. After a month (I waited a while for her to make the ponytail and then ship it) I emailed for an update.
She then informed me that she had to re-order the hair as the stuff she had wasn't very good. She told me she emailed me about this - didn't I get this email?
Another month passes - no ponytail. So I emailed her - She says that she just sent it in the mail and I should get it in 1 - 2 weeks.
One reason I waited so long is that I checked her feedback on Ebay and it looked liked most of the ponytails were shipped out 2 months aftre ordering so I wasn't too worried.
2 weeks pass - I email again - waited a few days and no response. I email again (through ebay too) no response. So I had a friend email her through ebay pretending to be a potential customer and wanting information. Well - what do you know -- Michelle emailed my friend back within the hour giving her information on how to order.
I emailed her again telling her that I know she did not send it and that I was going to press charges. And she emailed me RIGHT back -- saying she sent the ponytail but it came back to her in the mail so she sent it again. She says she emailed me a few times about this - didn't I get this email? (deja vu)
So I emailed her again telling her all the charges I was going to lay. Again - emailed me right back and said she would talk to her 'accountant' and have my refund by the end of the week.
What happened? You guessed it - nothing. She no longer responded to my emails.
I had a family situation and was not able to press charges when I planned to (it has now been almost 6 months since my order so I think it's too late now).
I also commented on her youtube video that she scammed me - she emailed my youtube account and asked who I was - I responded "The person you stole $100 from - have you scammed so many people that you don't even know who this is?" She responded something about how she sends out soooo many clips that she can't possibly know who I was." This tells me that I am not the only one she scammed - or she would have known who it was.
This woman is a liar and a theif. She has no ethics and I hope that at least one person sees this and it saves them from the same situation as I am in.

Was wrong person

Ana is right it wasnt her. I am familar with the people in the Judge show. I also watched the show. The account of the show seems like it was written by Laceflair. The witness was another hair dresser from the area as Laceflair. The judge would not let the plaintiffs witness speak. He also read all the nasty postings on consumer sites re defendant, but attributed then all to the plaintiff, which was not the case. She had not posted any thing other than what happened. The funny thing is that the defendant said the lady had agreed to get it dyed if it didnt match. The judge gave it back to the lady saying get it died if you want.. She took it to the salon, guess what, it couldt be diyed, the salon said it wasnt real hair!

Hi Ana - I have never appeared on 'Judge Joe Brown'. I certainly wouldn't go to all that trouble for a $100 ponytail and I definitly wouldn't give 'UPA' the free publicity. Perhaps you are thinking of another Ripoff Report on this seller. There is another report somewhere on here that refers to getting the wrong colour (in my case nothing was ever sent). I would love to see that episode though.

Aired on Judge Joe Brown

Just saw the Judge Joe Brown show in which the complaintant brought her case. They even referenced the report that the Plantiff made on RipOff report. It was determined that the hair that was returned had been used. The Expert Witness stated that it was evident that someone had used the product. It was also determined that the defendant, LaceFlair, had no obligation to refund any money.
LaceFlair's owner stated that although she felt she had no obligation to refund the money, in order to stop the "badgering", after consulting with her husband, she was going to refund the money for the hair that the Planitff had returned until the Plantiff "blasted" and lied on her all over the internet. The Plantiff said she put the information out on the internet after the Defendant used profanity in speaking with her and said derogatory things to her when they spoke on the phone. Interesting to note that she did not state those things in her RipOff report.
The Expert Witness and the Judge both concluded that LaceFlair had done nothing wrong. The outcome of the show was that the Plantiff lost. Interesting to note that the Plantiff did not make the same detail of delivery, refund promises and libel statements that she made in the RipOff report. Ooh there was just so much that she stated (or didn't state) that seriously contradict what she states in her RipOff complaint. Among other things she stated on the show that she had received the hair and had returned it because it was not a match to her hair. The Judge advised her that as the evidence refutted her claim and she had saturated the internet and made a unfounded complaint to the Better Business Bureau that LaceFlair could pursue an action against her.
I love RipOff report, but it should not be abused.

Still do not know who customer is

It would be so easy if customer would only tell me who she is. We cannot resolve your issue if we do not know who you are. I have been trying to get back into this to rebutt for weeks now and have not been allowed in to enter a rebuttle.
What I have received are emails from companies offering to help me get off of this site. Of course there are huge fees for this. I am convinced that this complaint is a plant by this site to bully small businesses like mine into paying them money to get rid of them.
That is the only conclusion that I can see since this person will not identify herself to me. All she needs to do is send an email to me so that we can work with her.
These kind of sites are muder to small businesses like mine and will ward many potenial customers away. We are a very legitimate business with many happy customers.

this proves it.

The fact that this seller says she doesn't know who I am proves that this wasn't just a one time thing and that she often scams people. We have had multiple emails back and forth - both through ebay as well as on personal email. She promised mutliple times that my item had been sent or would be sent shortly and even once that she would refund my money as soon as she talked to her 'accountant'. I also threatened suit against her. Shouldn't she remember this? Wouldn't most companies remember a customer who claimed that they didn't get their items many times and who named the many laws that the seller broke? Most would -- -but if that seller (ie - laceflair) had scammed multiple people then I suppose she would get confused as to which one was which.
Thank you for proving me right Michelle.

Customer refused to tell me who she is so that we could help her

This customer is every business nightmare. We have thousands of customers and I have no idea who she is. She would not tell me her name, the date of her order or any information that would help me identify her. She kept sending harrassing messages through youtube. So I gave up and stopped responding to her. As of today, I still do not know who this person is.
