Lakeshore Financial Management almost ripped my off too. BEWARE!! Andover Massachusetts

I just want to say thank you for this wonderful website. I almost got scammed out of almost $700.00. I, too, was contacted by this company after submitting my information online looking for a bad credit loan. In any case, I was contaced by a "Mark Carroll" @ ext. 204. He proceeded to tell me that I have been approved for a $5000 loan, but since I am considered a "HIGH Credit Risk" that it is a secured loan and I would be required to send in the first 5 months of payments, which totalled $759.70. But, my first payment would not be until March, because this "deposit" goes towards my first 5 payments. I was skeptical at first, because for myself, and I'm sure others in my situation, that is alot of money to send to someone.

I asked him alot of questions, which he had an answer for all of them. I asked him questions like, how do I know this isn't a scam, and he responded by telling me that I was already approved and not to worry. I asked him if I could talk to another loan office there to reassure myself and he told me he couldn't do that. In any case, I am desperate to find a loan, so I had went all the way down to do the Money Gram, which he said was how to send it and to call him when I got there so he could give me the information. After I got the paperwork to send the money, the front sheet of the Money Gram warns people of this exact scam and to never send money you are "guaranteed" to an individual, which is what I was supposed to do.

In any case, my gut told me not to do it, and now I am thankful I didn't. I saw this web site and think it's a GREAT tool for us as consumers. Thanks again!!!!
