Lakeside Marine Larry Flinn Overcharged for no service Topeka, Kansas

Called Lakeside Marine, Topeka, KS (LM)(owned by Larry & Marilyn Flinn) & asked that they look at my boat - told them that the gas was bad or the timing was off... that the boat ran rough when idling. Boat purchased 4 yrs ago from LM owner Larry. A new Bayliner. Step-son Jeff took the boat over and put it in their tank, ran motor, heard rough idle, unhooked gas tank and hooked up one from their shop. Problem cleared up. Hooked up my tank again and let it run for 1.5 hrs and did not hear problem again. Charged me for two hours labor and said if it does it again, carb may need rebuilding. I'd already told them what I thought the problem was. Why did he charge me 1.5 hours of labor to let my boat sit and run??? They charged me $194.00. This is crazy. When I asked why they charged me so much, they did not explain it. Larry, owner who sold me the boat and promised to take care of it because they have wonderful customer service, refused to speak to me on phone. They also own Topeka Boat Storage. Bad customer service. BEWARE! You cannot just 'say' you have great customer service - Actions speak much louder than words!
