Lakeview Kids Club Too many kids not enough teachers, teachers too young to handle kids, wrong-ful punishments, lying to the state of practices. Mount Juliet Tennessee

Lakeview Kids Club's Director lied to the State of TN when they came to investigate the wrongful punishment of my son. My son is on medication and has severe anger and emotional problems. After a long day of testing my son was probably very tired and starting causing problems. I do not make excuses for my son, what he did was wrong and I admit that. He is punished everytime he does things he knows are wrong. They do not know how to punish kids they would rather sit them a side and forget about them so they don't have to deal with them. They sat my son at a table and told him he would not get up until I came to get him which could have been as late as 6pm. He sat down during snack time which is approximately 2:45. He did not get snack and sat there until I came at 5pm. I asked the director how long he sat there and she said an hour and a half. I have witnesses stating he sat there from around 2:45-5:00pm. She admitted it to me and told me she was wrong to do that and she was sorry.

When the state came in she told the lady that she has not put him in time out and she has put him with the smaller kids, they believed her and did not confirm with the teacher of the small kids that my son was there. She would have told the state lady he was not there! She lied and they believed her? What if this situation was more serious? Would the state just believe a director and not a parent or child? Are we protecting our children from abusers? I also forgot to let you know that the State called the director and told her she was coming. She gave them a notice that she would be visiting the facility! This isn't the only thing that has happened here at this kids club. This was the last straw, I took my children out and never came back! I used the Kids Club at Mt Juliet Elementary for years and never had one problem! Beware if you are thinking of enrolling your kids here. There are several great workers there, but the Director and some other employees are not capable of watching the children closely and do not have the staff to safely monitor the children.
