landandfarm.com is a rip off. Last summer I placed an ad on this site for my 85 ye old Mothers house. Her home is in a small rural umminity in the midwest she owded more than the house was worth so I was trying to help her sale it I called Land Watch and placed an ad for (what I thought) a one month ad. At the same time I placed the same ad on craigslist.com I paid somewhere around $34.95 for the Land and Farm add over the phne.
This is on their website:

- Detailed statistics showing # of impressions and leads per property
- Your photo and name included on search result pages
- Inclusion into our vast network of partner websites
I got a couple of calls from the Land Watch ad, and many calls from the craigslist.com ad. We ended up turning the house over to a realtor. I never gave another thought to the ad placed on Land Watch.
About nine months later I got a call from a rude, oboviously uneducated and very unproffisional woman. She said I owded her company, DataSphere Technologies, Inc $330.00, I asked her for what & she couldn't or wouldn't tell me. She said it was a years subscription for an ad; I told her I did not have anything that I would place an ad on for a year. She asked me if I ever used craigslist.com, I said yes I used them alot; THEY ARE FREE. I told her I also used ebay sometimes, THEY ARE CHEAP. She was rude, a descrace to the female race. A word of advice, you should start off being nice & polite, you will get much farther. I finally told her I was not going to pay for a service I never used.
Last week I got a letter with the return address for Land Watch, inside was a collection notice from dataSpherefor $329.89 and a settlement offer for $203.30, for services I did not request and I had already paid for the month ad I placed. So, I now at least know who this rude woman works for. I WLL NOT PAY THIS BILL, I DO NOT OWE THEM ANYTHING
I plan to contact the marking fraud division of my attorney generals office Monday.
I just want this to be a warning: if you are thinking of listing a property DO NO USE landwatch.com, they will rip you off. Also, very low response to the one month ad I placed. A good online site for rural property is: landandfarm.com I used them in 2008 to sell my 80 acre horse ranch, they only charged me for the ads I placed
