Landmark Chevrolet Took my Deposit and Sent me to A leasing Co. Houston Texas

I went to Landmark Chevrolet (april 2004) to purchase a new vehicle. I saved up and put a 10,000 down payment for the vehicle.. They contacted me days later to tell me that they could not finance me. It came tolight that who they stated on paperwork was the bank they tried, they never did try.

They told me to go to a bank they work with (which was the MINT leasing).. They will alow me to finance it that way. After I signed the paperwork through them.. they said although they are a leasing co. ,, that it was being financed.. That was a lie and when I asked being it's a lease.. where is my $10,000 dollars they wouldn't answer.

I have dealt with prepaid legal lawyers who did some help but always ran into a brick wall... They would refer me to a lawyer but then I would have to pay.. IS there anyone out there that really cares about the people who can't afford a lawyer and get treated this way...

I finally returned the car in December of 2005 due to it was towed illegally.. and I couldn't get it out due to it was listed as a lease.. I was just fed up and said keep it. I have 2 years to fight them but don't have the money to do anything...I was told leases are federally regulated so that makes the State of Texas useless..

Again...stay away from Landmark .. I heard of a bad reputation but now know it was true
