What a Nightmare!!!
I went thru a pop-up for a 15 page web site and merchant account, and if it sounds to good to be true,"beleave it is".
I spoke with a very nice salesman who sold me a great "package deal" for a 15 page website and merchant account which sounded wonderful since I have no tech about building a website and a merchant account is a must have.
Well, after the fact you learn they are suppose to be two different entities,"So said Ladco when I closed My account and they couldn't take anymore of my money anylonger" They said the merchant account had nothing to do with the website," It was Free" Ha!
Every thing will be set and ready in 12 to 14 days, "which is they are trying to cover the 10 days you have to cancel any lease over $50.00 deadline"
Well, this is what I received. My credit card machine, them telling me I sent my info in incorrectly for 2 months, then they changed their system so you could send it, rude service when you could reach anyone or not knowing what your talking about.
There costomer sevice exsist of sending in a ticket and waiting 2 to 4 days for a reply, they tell you to read the 150 page do it yourself and you are the only one haveing this problem.
I could never get my website up and running right because their help is non-exsisting and was told they didn't need cusomer service by one of their Great Employees.
I closed my checking account, sent their machines back "register mail" and now they are calling and sending letters about the lease.
I was suppose to be charged $54.00 a month, which turned out to be more like $90.00 which gave me overdrafts to pay. I called to see what the extra charges were, was told it was for credit card transactions, which I never had 1 order for them to process.
I want in on a class action for the money I paid and the overdrafts I encured for their over chargeing me. 3 months of total agravation.
There should be something done NOW, They putting folks out of business before they can get started everyday by this scam. If there is a list who are starting a class action, Please contact me!
I cannot beleave this company is still in the business of ripping off hard working folks trying to start a business.
Please, if you are tired of the crap these companies are giving all of us,then lets pull together to stop them.
I know the BBB is useless but contact them anyway just so it will be on record.

And Please, contact all the major media in your area and the ones near their offices, the more the media covers, the less chance they will close their door and reopen under another name.
I filed complaints with the BBB on both companies and found Landmark has had 23 complaints in the past 12 months, and Ladco had several also, Ladco is passing the buck to Landmark. If you are in anyform of business with another company then you are just as liable. Know who your partners are.
During doing research on this I found in Feb 2002, FTC filed a complaint on Landmark Merchant Solutions, AKA- Certified Merchant Services for unfair and deceptive practices related to the marketing of credit and debit card merchant accounts to small business nation wide.
They settled out of court before being found guilty and apparantly changed their name. We need to stop this from ever occuring again.
You can reach thr FTC at- www.ftc.gov and file a complaint online.

#4 Author of original report
They want me to remove my complaints online and they will sign a release of the contract
AUTHOR: Gale - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, September 15, 2005
I have not pulled up Landmark Merchant Solutions in many, many months,s o this is the first time I have read the rebutle from Landmark and probably would not have today if they had not contacted me. (They want me to remove my complaints online and they will sign a release of the contract)
Tim said all I needed was to simply submit my photos and information. Well,I read thier 150 pages of how to,If I were educated in the field of building web sites that would have been easy to do and I would not have needed thier service..I contacted their so called Customer Service and unfortunatly they did not know any more than I did, were rude and told me I was the only person having trouble with this (Impression of "Are you stupid!").
Also it said thier have been thousands of websites made without any problem. Well all you have to do is read about them online, you will see for yourself that I am NOT the only person that has a Problem with them. Tim said I had lots of hands on help by thier Customer Service. Well, read my statement above!
Also Tim made the comment that I was looking for difficulties to wriggle my way out of my obligations.I had no problem with my obligations,I would have also taken care of any of my obligations if they had not mislead me from the bigging. The only reason myself and many others had taken this offer was for the purpose of the website, you can get a merchant account from many avenues.
I made a complaint with the BBB and they contacted LMS and LMS sent me a copy of my History Record. This will show how much I was trying to wriggle out of my obligations! Tim said my website was set up and ready to go in August, this is from September.
(Sep 27th,2004) Internal: Merchant(ME) called in about a charge to her account.I explained the charges.1 charge was crosschecked.I told her that this was cancellable.Another charge was for processing from Landmark.I told her this was cancellable.(After this, she kept complaining about her website. She sent in a ticket on Friday has not recieved a responce.I informed her of the responce time of the web ticket, and told her it is still to early for a responce, she needs to wait. Merchant then began cussing at me and said that she will just cancel everything cause she is not getting instant responce on her website,Which she claims she paid for.
Sent to Merchant(Me) I explained fees on customers account.after this, she kept complaining about her website. She sent in a ticket on Friday and has not recieved a responce.I informed her of the responce time of the web ticket, and told her it is still to early for a responce, she needs to wait.Merchant then began cussing at me and that she will just cancel everything cause she is not getting instant responses on her website, which she claims she paid for. I told her that the website was free, and that she gets instant customer response on those things that she IS PAYING FOR (I.E.Processing,Terminal troubleshooting) She just started cussing at me again and hung up on me.
So as you see,if I were not mislead about this wonderful offer for a 15 page website,I would have never went with them to begin with!
Anyone who has had trouble with this company, Please contact me! I have had several emails from people complaining about this very issue, and some are being sued and/or ruining thier credit. Time for a class action,I know they will TRY to get me,but let us all come together and get them first! send all info to:(pru1958x3@yahoo.com)
I spoke with Juliana Todd who is suppose to be the assistant vice president yesterday about the release and told her I did not agree with the wording and that I was not going to sign.I was told it will be handed over to the Atty.
I have copies of every complaint against them, from all over the web, which I will forward to the press in every state. Anyone having trouble with them, please contact me and I will get I know a great list to hand over to a class action Atty.

#3 Consumer Suggestion
Contact FTC Attorney
AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, November 17, 2004
I am suggesting you also contact the FTC Attorney Randall Brook in Seattle Washington as I did. He stated to me he had been hearing rumors about this company. He is the Attorney that handled the Leasecomm case for the FTC, and won. I have heard rumors they are looking into Ladco and LandMark Merchant Solutions (aka Merchant Solutions)
I have an Attorney in Anchorage Ak, but unfortunately I was not able to get the amount of people neccesary for a class action suit. I suggest that as many as can file a case, the California courts will combine and make a class action out of it if enough people get involved.
Also report it to the California State Attorney, your State Attorney as well.
My e-mail address is available at the complaint station. There you will also find "several" complaints about Ladco/LandMark.
