Landrover Jaguar of Newport Beach I recently purchased a pre owned BMW from this dealership. They assured me that they performed a comprehensive inspection. A few weeks later I broght the car to my local BMW dealership. The car itself is fine but the tires had dri rot and literally chunking. BMW said that in no way would they have allowed this car to leave their lot and that the tires are in severe condition. Out of concern for my safety I immediately replaced them. I contacted Landrover Jaguar of Newport and explained the issue. The manager expressed no care and immediatly defended a position and talked about the retail price of tires. They misrepresented the car and refused to reimburse me. I went to Yelp to leave my review and noticed an unbelievable amount of negative comments from similar experiences. Apparently they would rather lose me as a customer as well as many others than do the right thing and replace the tires. How Pathetic! Stay far away from this dealership, they do not care about their customers, only profits. NEWPORT BEACH California

Buyer Beware!

I recently purchased a used BMW from Jaguar Landrover of Newport Beach, California.

They assured me that the car had been through their comprehensive inspection. A few weeks later, I took the car to my local BMW dealership (one of the largest in the country) and they showed me the tires which had dri rot and were literally chunking apart. They were also at the bare minimum wear before needing replacement as enforced by federal law.

I asked if that wear would have happened during the time I had the car and their top mechanics stated that in no way would a normal tire wear down that fast and start chunking. The tires had sat for a long time in the hot sun and were 4 years old.

The mechanics said that in now way would they let a car like that drive off their lot and that the tires were in severe condtion and unsafe. Out of concern for myself and family, I immediately replaced them.

I then contacted the manager at Jaguar Landrover of Newport Beach, California and rather than showing any concern, he immediately took a defensive position and spoke only of the issue with reimbursing a retail price. He chose to challenge and question 3 20 year top mechanics at BMW.

I sent the manager a photo of the tire and he out right shut me down and refused to reimburse me or do anything. He was callous and uncaring and took no responsbility.

Do yourself and your friends a favor and stay away from this dealership. I went to Yelp to leave this same review and saw many many negative reviews like this. Had I thought to check that prior to visiting them, I never would have made the purchase. They are liars and cheaters and only care about a quick sale. They give the car industry a bad name.
