Lane Kiffin left the University of Tennessee's football program in shambles.
He will do the same to yours.  DO NOT HIRE THIS COACH!

Despite warnings from his former employer, Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders, that Lane Monte Kiffin was a "professional liar", The University of Tennessee brought Lane Kiffin to Knoxville.  After building a coaching staff, signing a brand new class of recruits, Coach Lane Kiffin betrayed the Volunteers, accepting a position as head coach of the USC Trojans, which he stated was his "dream job".

Immediately after his abandonment, Coach Lane Kiffin and Coach Ed Orgeron (now under contract with USC) contacted players who had already arrived on UT campus, encouraging them to transfer to USC along with him before the start of the semester - a blatant violation of NCAA rules and general human nature.

Having committed six secondary violations during his short reign as head coach of the University of Tennessee, the Volunteers' football program would be under investigation for nearly a year after his departure for USC.  To add insult to injury, Lane Kiffin has publicly insulted Tennessee's football program.

As head coach of the USC Trojans, Lane Kiffin has implemented downright shady tactics:

  • In an attempt to confuse the Colorado defense, Kiffin instructed backup quarterback Cody Kessler to change out of his No. 6 jersey into a No. 35 jersey, before a two point conversion attempt.
  • Kiffin and staff deflated five footballs used by the Trojans in a game against Oregon

Potential NCAA sanctions may be enacted in the near future.

Lane Kiffin will drag your football program down with him.  If not through recruiting scandals or NCAA violations, then simply due to the fact that he's just not that good of a coach.  As it stands, like the 2012 Trojans were to be the first preseason No. 1 in the BCS era to be ranked outside of the final AP Top 25.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COACH!
