Have you ever hit the window switch to go up and had it go down? Have you ever tried to adjust your door mirror and had it go toward the ground and continue to grind until you manually stop it? Does your trip computer reset itself with no input from you? Does your radio work on some occasions? Does your hood release actually unlock the hood? Have you been told that you may have to make multiple attemps to release your hood and that that is normal? Have you been advised to drive your car with the check engine light on? Have you ever been told that your Azera is a luxury car and shouldn't be driven on a dirt road? Did you know that the intake for cooling air for some electronics is in the drivers side wheelwell? Did you know that if you pick up dust from this same wheelwell it will clog a filter and cause the check engine light to come on? Do you believe that it takes a factory rep to address this issue? Is it normal for this same rep to reschedule three times? Why did the Hyundai factory customer service reps tell me they would look into my issues and call me back three times and then never call me? Do you have any idea where the oil came from that was all over my engine after the last trip for a 60,000 mile service? When a TSB is issued to correct a known and proven defect, did you know that Hyundai will not do it if you're over the 60,000 mile mark? Do you know that the extended warranty you buy from Hyundai wont cover it either?

Now!!! Do you know why I'll never buy another one?

"Ex-Employee" is a stalker who is currently in prison!

AUTHOR: Southwest Hyundai - (U.S.A.)

Does Ripoff Report know the concept of DUE DILIGENCE? "HarleyKing," who wrote about his "violent treatment" is a convicted felon writing from prison. He is locked up for threatening, beating and stalking his ex-wife.

He applied (from prison) for unemployment benefits from the state of New Mexico. When I received the "Notice to Reply" from the Office of Workforce Solutions, I answered the questions honestly. He was a racially explosive employee who screamed the "N" word at co-workers, particularly the one he mentions "in pertectular" (sic). When counseled he blew up and quit, screaming profanity on his way out the door.

When he learned that he was not going to receive his unemployment benefits while sitting in jail, he e-mailed me that he would "get revenge." Once a stalker always a stalker. So I guess Ripoff Report is the place to do that. This man is unstable and he is certainly unsuitable for any kind of honest discussion forum, whether online or otherwise.

violent treatment

i was employeed by sothwest hyundai, during my employment i witnessed numerous violations of the law. some of these were, misreprsentation of credit information to lending institutions at the direction of tom hornbeck, jay bondesson and danial gorownski. from time to time sales people and management falsified signatures by customers on contracts and othe vital paper work regarding sales of automobiles. also there was gross deception on the part of all sales dept. personnel. while employed i was called explicit names, and was even threatend with my life. i dont understand how this place stays in business. there are convicted felons working as finance managers, just think they have access to vital customer info. one person in pertectular is sedrick hood.

Southwest Hyundai is the best dealership I have ever worked with.

AUTHOR: Peter Micono - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 08, 2008

Clearly anyone who believes that Southwest Hyundai is not a reputable dealership has not business with them. My recent experience with Southwest Hyundai made me realize that this is a group that really will see that the customer is satisfied 100%. When I read the stories of bad experiences, I clearly see that either they want out of a deal they simply couldn't afford (impulse buying of a car is just plain wrong), did something to the car that they will not be honest with the dealer about because they are afraid of violating the warranty (for example, washing a motor that has just been run and is very hot, or simple neglect of proper car care.)

When I read the story on the Santa Fe Hyundai, it appears that the owner wanted the 2005 model instead of there current car. They have the best, most trained, and professional mechanics I have seen at a dealership. If the owner does not divulge what exactly happened to the car when the problem started, the mechanics cannot accurately troubleshoot the problem. What is said in this story on the Santa Fe simply does not fit with the way Tom Hornbeck of Southwest Hyundai treats his customers. This story just makes me think that all the cards were not laid on the table. Southwest Hyundai would not let an unsafe condition exist. It just seems to me this person wanted a new car and caused the old car to fail when he wanted to. Polygraph Anyone?

Tom Hornbeck is a reputable car dealer and any problem brought to his attention will be solved. But communication and honesty must come from the consumer.

Peter
