I would like to lodge a complaint against Sundance dodge dealership in Boise, ID. I dealt with a fella named Bob Waterfield in the service department. My pickup was towed in to the dealership on last Wednesday night and I did not get it back till late Monday afternoon. I realize that dealerships do not want to deal with warranties--or perhaps Bob was just trying to "double dip."

Either way, the folks at the extended warranty office told me that as soon as Bob would fax the work order/bill to them, it would be an instant payment to Sundance like a credit card. The warranty group all said this should have happened on Thursday of last week and I could have had my pickup back on Thursday evening. But as it turned out Bob would not fax it over to them for the instant payment.

All he wanted me to do was pay in full the amount so he could collect both from myself and the warranty. I called Bob 3 times on Friday and he still hadn't faxed it over to the warranty place. I am most certain at this point that he was trying to press me-either because I am female, or because my out of state plates are still on the pickup and he figured he could get away with it. By Monday, you can suspect I was a little put off by Bob and his antics. I called the warranty place once again and they still had not received the fax from Bob.

I called Bob and he hemmed and hawed and said it still might take 24-48 hours for payment. I told him exactly what the warranty people told me-it was instant payment once he faxes it in. He said he would. Called back around noon and he still had not faxed it in. Called back around 2:00 and it still had not been faxed. Called him directly at 2:30 and he told me he would call me right back. He didn't, and I called him back an hour later and by this time I believe he was hoping the warranty place (different timezone) would be closed and I would have to wait another day to be jerked around by him.

All he had to do was fax the document. I could have faxed it myself from Kinko's and it would have been handled sooner. By 4:00 pm, he claimed he faxed it 3 times, but after calling the warranty people they told me they never received anything from him. At this point, I couldn't possibly believe Bob true to his word. I talked with the warranty place and they agreed to send me the reimbursement in the mail to my address rather than the dealership as I would most definitely never see it if they sent it to Sundance.

Went and paid in full (with obviously gross overcharges) to get my pickup, which had been at the dealership for 5 full days for a minor repair. I am extremely disappointed and disatisfied with this customer care. I feel that I have been cheated not only out of money, but time as I lost one day of work dealing with Bob W. and his antics, and working with the warranty people.

All I have to say is BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! A dealership that condones and supports people who operate like this are not worth dealing with!
