I stayed at this property last week and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had to date. I travel quite a bit for business and leisure, and I was very dissappointed by my experience at this Marriott location. So much so, that I decided to file a report here.

Upon checking into the hotel, I was greeted by a sirly front desk employee. Unfortunetly, I do not remember his name, otherwise I would surely have included it in this report; however, after speaking to him for a few mintues trying to resolve a minor issue with my check-in, I decided to request to speak with a manager. It took a another five mintues for this employee to aquise to my request. Even doing so, the front desk agent smirked at me. I couldn't believe his behavior or how a Marriott employee would even be able to act in this way considering I was being patient and polite.

When the manager came out to see me (her name was Melissa Irons), you could see she was already aggravated that she had to be bothered. I was nothing but polite to her regarding my issue, and I patiently asked her questions. The only way I can describe Mrs. Iron's actions at this point is that she was being as fake as possible. There was nothing geniune about her tone or deamenor that would suggest she cared about my issue and resolving it earnest. I felt rushed and completly dismissed by her. From the scoul on her face, or the fake smile she sometimes used to cover it up, it was clear I was being done a favor by being allowed to stay at this property and Mrs. Iron's giving me her time.

In addition to the very unpleasant half-hour I spent at the front desk, there were a few other let downs from my stay.

Number one, for being a full service Marriott, this property has one of the smallest gyms I have every seen. It only has a handful of dumbells and some cardio equipment. That's pretty sparce for a full service Marriott. Later in the evening, I asked Mrs. Irons if there were any full service gyms in the area (which I wouldn't mine paying for at that point) that I could go to. Mrs. Irons reccomended the LVAC about 5 miles away. Upon going there, I have to tell you that this club was disgusting. I don't want to sound privllaged, but if you're staying at a nice Marriott property, why would you (as a member of the staff) send a guest to a rundown fitness facility. The gym was big, but there was dirt everywhere and it was old. The patrons there werent very nice either.

Addiotionally, the pictures on the Marriott website make the Las Vegas Marriott look a lot bigger than it actually is. For a full service Marriott in a destination location, This property looked more like a Marriott Courtyard. Addiotnally, it's by the convention center, but its precise location is not very nice in terms of where it sits on the street. It's not protected at all. I actually felt like I was staying at a motel. As a matter of fact, there was road construction all around the property and it made it hard to access the property. No one made any mention of this when I was booking my reservation.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this report, I travel quite a bit. I am probably used to staying at nicer properties, paticurarly within the marriot brand (I am actually a marriott vacation owner), so this property, and more importantly the front desk staff, was a complete dissapointment.

I will be forwarding this report and having a personal conversation with Marriott Corporate about my experience at this property. I just can't believe that someone that clearly doesn't like people (like Mrs. Melissa Irons) would be allowed to hold a position where she so closly interacts with Marriott guests. It's troubling.

As a business owner, I would let Mrs. Irons go without delay. People have too many choices in terms where they are going to stay these days, and there is no reason to be disengenious and treat guests disrespectfully.

I do appologize for any spelling mistakes. I could not find an spell check editior on this form.
