Lasik MD advertises low rates starting at $490 Canadian per eye for lasik eye surgery and tell you they have the lowest prices around. What they don't tell you is that next to no one will get that price and the actual price is three times as much. The optometrist there told me the 490 price is for people who don't need glasses. That doesn't even make sense.
They tack on hundred of dollars of extras such as eye drops and a vision care program for touch ups which they never tell you about before you make arrangements to see them. They won't give you prices over the phone or a price range. They want you to invest three hours of your time getting tests done their first.
If you are contemplating having lasik done then find a place that has an all inclusive price rather than a la carte.
I wish I would not of wasted a day travelling there to be given the price shock. They just advertise low rates to get you in the door. They run their practice like an assembly line of people. I polled others there and they said their quotes were in the three thousand dollar range too.

hi, thinking about doing laser.
after the surgery, do you still have dry eyes or use eye drops?
has there been times where unexpected pain or discomfort are felt?
do you have any altercations or anything you still do due to the surgery?
did u need a make up surgery or were there unexpected circumstances that arrose from the sugery?
Basicly, are you 20/20 and you do absolutely nothing to maintain it, or are you now bonded to eye drops ...

I too had the unfortunate experience with sticker shock after getting all my tests done at LasikMD. When I told them I could not afford that much they told me to fill out a form for financing at crazy interest rates up to 28%. I saw the waiting room full of clients filling out applications for financing so I left. I had my surgery booked for the next day so it was a big disappointment. I am glad I saved up money and got it done at Horizon Laser Vision Center otherwise I would of paid double with the financing charges and it was the same price as LasikMD but at least I knew that ahead of time. I got great results, perfect vision and I do not work for LasikMD.

Ive actually been to several Lasik clinics (all over Toronto) and even though I didnt qualify for the $490/eye, Lasik Md still managed to offer me the LOWEST price of any of them by far. They have a Lowest Price Guarantee which I dont think many of their competitors offer, and I got a great financing plan. I also appreciated the staff there taking the time to really explain everything to me in detail, which I cant say about some other of the places Ive been to, and this is another reason I completed my procedure with them. The results have been terrific, and I cant think of a reason to go elsewhere only to pay more for the procedure.
