Lauletta Birnbaum This law firm cannot be trusted SEWELL New Jersey

I hired this law firm to handle a case of which I was suing a former emplyer for funds they did not pay after I resigned. The company had made an offer to me but I figured hiring an attorney would be better. I contacted Lauletta Brinbaum. Thsta when my nightmares began.. All I asked them to do was try to negotiate the figure up from where they started. They said give them a 5000 retainer and they would handle it from there. After 3 months of no contact they told me they thought I had a case of over six figures and that I should pursue. They informed me that my bill was over 12,000 at that time even though they told me 5000 would cover it. I guess I listened to the 6 figures they thought I would get. I paid them an additional 7500 and they contiued.

They told me an offer was made of 55000 and that I should take it. If I didn't take it they would not continue the case. At that time they also told me I owed them 13000 more..Keep in mind , I was never given monthly bills. I had no choice but to settle. I told them I wanted them out of the case but they continued to bill me. Their final bill was over 18000 after I paid them 12500. I didn't have the money so they sued me. They now have a judgement that inflated to 43000 along with the money I paid the total is over 55000...After the taxes I only clead around 43000 of the total owed. So in the end , It cost me 55000 to recover 43000 after I was made an offer of 25000.....I received 3 bills from them in over a year. They never sent monthly bills like required, I filed a fee dispute and was never served the date. I lost the fee dispute even though they realized I was never served of the time or location. But they would not reopen..

Trust me......DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. There are many reputable firms I'm sure  But this surely is not one of them.
