Thousands (if not more) have been ripped off by fraudulent credit card charges by Lavalife. Even though Lavalife tries to hide and cover up these searches and results on the internet, there are too many complaints to keep up with.

My experience was that Lavalife clearly stated on their website that there would be NO auto-billing. I would NOT get charged unless I did it manually, by myself. Instead, they are mercilessly charging my card time after time. When I complain by phone, website feedback, and email, they all have the same 1-2 page legalized response written by attorneys.

NOW WE NEED OUR ATTORNEY / LAWYER WHITE KNIGHT to represent us.

While paying for credits at Lavalife, I was offered a trial membership to Lifestyle Rewards +. Promised with the membership was a credit (discount) on my credit card used to purchase LavaLife credits. This is a partner of Lavalife, and lavalife integrated this offer in their online billing system.

2 weeks and a few emails, no answer from Lavalife, and Lifestyle rewards Plus are stalling saying that they have to investigate. Obviously a fraud, this company works by offering reccuring paid memberships, hoping that trials will be forgotten.

Approx 1 1/2 years ago, I paid for a membership on Lavalife. I paid for this on my TD Visa, thinking that if something went wrong, Visa could take of it, since they used to advertise that sort of thing.

Anyway, everything was ok, I used up my time, and that was that. About 1 year later, I noticed an item on my Visa statement that I didn't remember ordering, etc. It was a charge for about $70 on my Visa ! I called Lavalife about it and they said : well, we have your credit card on file, so we charged a membership to it. I asked them for my money back since I did not make this second order and it was, an auauthorized charge. They replied (someone from their "risk assessment" dept replied) that they would not refund me this money, even though I didn't make the order.

I called Visa, and they told me they couldn't do anything about it.

Apparently, Lavalife rips people off whenever you pay by credit card with them.
