Law & Associates, LLC, attorney William Monroe, indicated that loan modification would be under current competive rates. In speaking with Mr. Monroe this was indicated prior to receiving notification of mortgage modification, a current rate would be obtained. Upon reviewing current lending laws and past practice by mortgage lender it was learned that other mortgage modfication companies have negotiated with my current lender and obtained a reduction in the loan interest rate. Mr. Monroe retracted his statement and the load modification kept the loan at current terms. Mr. Monroe when asked to negotiate the loan replied, "I did my job and you can talk to them about the terms." Prior to speaking with Mr. Monroe his colleague indicated that he would do what was best for the client and not the mortgage company. When I talked to Mr. Monroe this was not the case and he denied stating anything about the reduced interest rate on the loan. Do not utilize Law & Associates for any loan modification. They do not work for the client and work in the best interest of the mortgage company.
