I need to report a situation for investigation to all interested
investigators. A loan modification company hiding behind the Name of New
Horizon Law Office, tried to get me to give them $7,000 ($4,000 up front) Friday
Jan 22nd. The following day, Jan. 23rd,
I got a distress 911 call from them claiming that "my house had been sold" the day before, but they could get the bank to reverse it
for $1,000. I gave them a check to hold today when I would have the
funds. They pressed really hard for this money and now wanted the $4000 within
two weeks. I was in tears at this point. They said leave the date and payable
part blank. Long story short, I called Chase directly on Wednesday, to discover
that my house had NOT been sold and did NOT ever have a sale date of the
22nd. It did have a pending sale date of
today Jan. 29th, but my call directly to Chase and their attorney canceled
today's sale, and my new modification package will be shipped out in a couple
weeks.
The loan mod company did not count on me figuring out what they were up
to, which was to let me think it was sold to an undisclosed 3rd party last
week(which would have been them, and for me to buy my own house back from them,
and pay their attorney $7,000 to represent me in the buy back. When they went to
the court house today to bid on my house, they discovered that my sale had been
canceled. As a result, they just called me and said "congratulations"
we just got your house back and need you to come in and sign the paperwork for
the modification with us (committing me to the $7,000), and we need to deposit
your $1000 check for getting the sale reversed. There are more details, but too
much to email.
I've been trying to qualify to stay in my house with Chase on my
own for months now. I was on a trial mod with them since last May, and have not
missed any of my trial payments in the eight months that I've been going
through their process. But they finally told me on Jan. 13th that I did not
have adequate income to qualify for a modified payment, which is what triggered
the foreclosure sale date of today (which they did not notified me about). I
did everything they asked, and Chase simply told me that I must qualify to stay
in my home, that they just can't give me a modification. So they then said I
either have to pay the past due amount, or start the entire modification
process all over from scratch. This is what triggered my need to seek outside
assistance to ensure that I could get qualified going forward.
However, I found
New Horizon, this crooked loan mod company, who tried to steeling my house
right from under my nose. Most likely, there are a number of people who were
not so lucky to outsmart them at their own game, and still more people coming
to them daily seeking help to save their homes from foreclosure. New Horizons is running late night TV
commercials and they have an office on

Consumer Advocate Group and New Horizon are two SEPARATE COMPANIES

I would like to just clear a small piece of information up on this report. I am the owner of Consumer Advocate Group. We are actually a debt settlement marketing company based in Newport Beach, Ca. We have never been a loan mod company nor do we associate ourselves with New Horizon and associates work. We are simply a debt settlement marketing company who has worked with New Horizon to help market debt settlement services. I would appreciate my company name be taken off this report as I do pride myself in the way we do business and compliance with all laws. I do not put up with neglectful, irresponsible or fraudulent acts in my company nor do I collect up front fees. I also dont do loan mods so this report is false in stating Consumer Advocate Group anywhere in it.
