After inquiring as to the speed of an expected shipping date, I ordered a Toad House from Lottaterracotta on www.ebay.com; 9/15/05. The promised ship date was well before Christmas, so I would have plenty of time to wrap and ship off to Maryland. I used the optional insurance and paid with paypal for speedy, safe delivery time (priority mail).
After waiting a good length of time for the item, I inquired of my mail person and having found there were no boxes for me at the post office, I inquired of Lottaterracotta. I was asked to wait another week and then recontact them.
After another week had gone, I recontacted and was told another Toad House would be sent. MANY emails have been sent and a few were responded to, with promised ship dates. To make it short--- no merchandise and the request(s) for refund have gone UNANSWERED.
The company had delayed me too long to receive any aid from pay pal OR ebay, so I have only this recourse. Any forum with clay, terracotta, etc. as it's format, I have left a negative report on this company.
Most recently, I sent an email requesting the item OR refund on 2/15/06 and have received no answer. The price with shipping and insurance only totaled $23.40 for this purchase. That amount is a mere pitance; but factor in Lord knows how many they have done this to, and they make a pretty good profit for FY'05!

I see by the old "feedbacks" for this EBAY seller, that there was a "family emergency" involved in non-deliveries and the lack of refunds. Is this a reason to NOT answer mails,ship the item,or give refunds NOW....NOT!! The negativity in the feedback responses from these people are so harsh...do they not comprehend that THEY are the offenders here?!?I find it hard to believe how, seeing the MANY negative feedbacks for lottaterracotta, people are willing to purchase items from them; maybe they don't check the feedback area beforehand. I continue to contact any buyer with negative feedback and refer them to this forum for complaints...one contacted me through EBAY and has offered to contact the authorities in this matter.
