What a ripoff!  Purchased a car on Ebay with the following description...

"This 2010 Infinity G37x runs, looks and drives JUST LIKE WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW, automatic transmission shifts perfectly smooth and the handling is just like a brand new vehicle. Very solid and responsive motor.  There are no weird noises nor leaks of any kind, this car looks and drives amazing.  The black leather interior of this vehicle is also in excellent condition.  No stains, rips, tears...just great.  Regarding its history this vehicle had previous damage to the left quarter panel, rear bumper, left fender and front bumper cover.  An insurance claim was filed and has been issued a New York Salvage title.  The engine, transmission and suspension were not damaged, all body parts were professionally aligned and the damaged areas repaired and repainted to a perfect match.  The parts only the front bumper cover, rear bumper cover, left fender, left quarter panel had to be replaced. You should not have any problems driving it long distances and should provide you with a long enjoyable ownership."

When I brought it home I found it had been in a MAJOR accident and that they had simply slapped parts back together to try to get it to look like it once did.  It came to me with a bent frame rail, rattling suspension, and headlights that don't even work.  The statement of "all body parts were professionally aligned and the damaged areas repaired and repainted to a perfect match" is an obvious fabrication as I have photos of all the problems listed above!  I have purchased salvaged vehicles in the past, but this is a complete joke!

I am posting this simply so others do not get taken by his lies and deceit.  He is selling nothing more than painted piles of dog crap.  If he feels that bent rails, busted headlights, and busted suspension is a "perfect match" he's clearly got issues...

He does not return emails and once the check clears completely disappears from the face of the planet.  I also found out he is a realtor for Ziprealty.

COMMON DECENCY vs. Common Sense

AUTHOR: Travis - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 04, 2011

Although I somewhat agree with the sentiments of Jim from Orlando, I would also have to state that COMMON DECENCY would play a larger role in this series of events than Common Sense.  It appears to me that the car was reported to be something it was not.  An individual can only weigh in on the facts that are presented to them, and everything outside of that is simple speculation.

At one point the people of the United States stood for something.  A mans word and a handshake was all that was needed to demonstrate trust and a fair deal.  It appears as though Edgar's Common Decency was substituted with COMMON DECEIT, and the buyer was left with a lemon.

Again, I do not disagree that perhaps the buyer did not complete his entire due diligence on the purchase, but the seller clearly withheld highly important, NEED TO KNOW information that could have lead to the buyer walking away from the deal entirely.  You cannot expect a regular "joe" to know everything about a car.  You rely heavily on the information that is given to you from the seller.  Information, that in this case was a fabrication of truth, and deceptive from the beginning.

As an outsider looking in, I would have to agree with the purchaser, in that Edgar seemed to have known about the issues, and sold the car without disclosing it to the purchaser.  This seems to me to be COMMON DECEIT, and I agree with the buyer that he was lied to and Edgar's deceptive practices lead to the ultimate purchase of the vehicle.

He May Be a Con Man...

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

Did you even bother to check out this car before you bought it?

Con-men exist because people throw COMMON SENSE out the window all for a stupid car.

That's exactly what you did.

Still the same old Con-Man

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

In an update to my previous post, I would like to add the following new items of information...

After 6 months of having the car in my possession, I was finally able to get Edgar to send out a new headlight for the car.  This was supposed to fix the issue, but obviously did not.  He even had the nerve to send out an agreement (attached) that he needed me to get notarized prior to sending the headlight out.  (something he obviously knew would not fix the issue, but wanted to ensure that I would not pursue him any further...)

After sending the letter back, and receiving the new headlight, the passenger side was STILL broken!  I spent over $1,700 to purchase a new passenger side headlight, took it to 2 separate body shops, and finally was able to get it to work, no thanks to Edgar or his boss.

Now, Edgar is threatening me to post negative comments regarding my experience.  He claims that the letter I signed signifies that I am in the wrong by posting these comments.  Well, I see it as informing the consumer of his potentially criminal actions.

His claim is that he had no idea the headlights didn't work, but yet it was HIS contracted body shop who did the repairs, it was HIS contracted Safety inspection that passed the car (even though it is in violation of Texas State Safety Requirements.)  and it was HE who sold the car to me.

If he were to be sincere, and truly have a desire to help out, he would have corrected the issue right away, not wait 6 months, then send a headlight only AFTER he had me sign the document, and only AFTER contacting Ebay and posting this report.

I definitely made a mistake by agreeing to have the ebay report removed.  I had hoped that by doing so he would just leave me alone and we could get passed all this.  However, now that he is pursuing me and calling me all sorts of names, I want everyone to know about his dishonesty and unlawful actions.  I wish I'd never purchased this car, and wish I'd never met or heard of Edgar Handal, Hung Lam, or LD Automotive at all.

As previously mentioned, LD Automotive is only one of the companies or aliases he can be known by.  ZipRealty and user name automobiles4sale at ebay are also businesses he is affiliated with.

I wish this transaction could have ended, but as long as he continues to pursue his course of actions, I will continue with mine.  I'll keep everyone updated as more progresses.
