I am writing to warn people not to attend the Le cordon bleu in mendota heights, minnesota. Any one that is thinking of attend this school will be so disappointed in the quailty of teaching. Please be wise in your choices of schools.I had problem with my financial aid when I questioned them about it. They are rude and told me that it's not my money it belongs to the school and I had no rights in asking them. The so called program dropped 14 of my classes and still is charging me the same tution which is 42.500.00 for the 21 mos program.I was told a lot of lies by the admission rep to get me to go to school here. I am from another state I was told we can help you with housing, jobs. Not true at all. I am in need of housing and the only thing that I was told is that they can put me in a homeless shelter but you have 20.000.00 dallors of my money and the only thing you can do for me is put me in a homeless shelter but still inspect me to make my monthly payment. We have instructor at the school that if you asked a question they gets mad or do not ever know the answer to the question.I am skipping classes at this time because we do not have teacher that was to teach evening classes.I have had only 2 cooking classes at this school I have more general education classes than culinary. What do culinary really means math, english, science, speech and so on.

THIS SUGGESTION MIGHT HELP YOU WITH THE SCAMMED TUITION
AUTHOR: Helene - (U.S.A.)

We have one of these sham chefs schools in Texas with the same name.
Whoever owns them is getting a lot of money from federal programs that they have NO right to get and the students and ultimately the taxpayers are the victims while these a**holes who run these diploma mills live large.
The reason that they teach all of these basic courses is so they can justify the higher tuition and scam the federal government for more money. The federal government had a crackdown on these for profit, private trade schools when they were letting people without a high school education come in and they were training them for job s where they needed a high school education as part of the job requirements and a lot of their graduates were turned away from the jobs that they had trained for. Also, a lot of these people did not understand the contract they signed with the school and were able to get lawyers and sue the school for fraudulent misrepresentation and they did not have to pay the school back.
These are private FOR PROFIT schools and that was bad for business and so, they came up with the requirement that you have to be a high school graduate to attend. They give you the remedial courses to make sure that you have the necessary academic background so you can understand the agreement with the school that you signed and they an show good faith with the federal government that you would also have the necessary basics of education to enable you to succeed in the job world.
So they look like less of a diploma mill.
Do not spend another dine with these people!
Go back to where you came from.
Here is a website that might be very helpful to you:
http://www.studentloanborrowerassistance.org/
This is a FREE non-profit legal advocacy group for people who have been ripped off by these for profit private trade schools aka vocational or technical schools.
You might also want to get an attorney and show him or her this site and figure out what your rights are. I think you have definit4ely been a victim of fraudulent representation but what they will counter claim is that no one forded you to attend this place.
PLEASE CALL BOTH OF YOUR US SENATORS AND TELL THEM TO VOTE AGAINST ALLOWING ANY FEDERAL FUNDING FOR THESE PRIVATE, FOR PROFIT TRADE SCHOOLS.
It is not right that they make all of these promises and the taxpayers are out the money and the person who borrowed the money ends up losing everything because they could not get the job in the career they trained for and so they can not pay back the loans.
The scumbag who ran the criminal enterprise called a trade school knew they would not be able to get the job but they it back and spend all of the money they stole from the government and anything the poor student paid them. And nothing happens to this smug greedy b*****d.
We need to end it now!
