LEAD FINANCIAL INC. LEAD FINANCIAL LOTTERY SCAM JOHNSON CITY Tennessee

I recieved a letter with a check for 4950.00 which looked real and watermarked.The letter states:

You are therefore entitled to the sum of 150,000.00 dollars repersenting your total winning prize. This is from total prize money of 3,750,000.00 US dollars that was shared among 25 declared winners.Please note that all the participants were selected through a random computer ballot system drawn from over 1,500,000 names.

I was given a claim number to keep for my records and it said not to attempt to use this check until I spoke with my claims officer EDWARD GILL on 1-778-552-1949 who will guide me through the application process.

When I called, the phone was answer by someone who could barely speak english. He said to deposit the check then call him back. I can only assume to transfer the money to them through Moneygram International Wire Transfer as the letter stated.

Thinking that this was not legit I got on the internet looking for this company to see if it was on the up and up and found that it was a scam.

So to any others that have received these bogus letters and checks do not cash as it seems to be a scam and the only one who will suffer from this is the innocent..
