Leader Escrow rip-off! They didn't do what they were paid to do. Fullerton California

We sold our home & requested that Leader Escrow pay some of our credit card bills out of the proceeds so that we could qualify for our new loan. The escrow fees alone were $1720.00, plus they charged us another $60.00 to pay four bills. At the last minute, just two days before we were to leave for Europe, our realtor called us & told us that he had been mailed the checks which were cut by the escrow company to our creditors.

Had he not delivered them to us right then, we'd have left for a two week trip thinking these bills had been paid when in fact, they had not. These checks should have been sent directly from the escrow company to our creditors. I've written them a letter giving them all the information, acct. nos., addresses, etc to enable them to pay them directly. I have done this before with other escrow companies & have never had this happen.

What did we pay them for? We could have written four checks ourselves & mailed them. We certainly didn't need to pay them to do it, if they weren't even going to mail them.
