LeafGuard installed gutters on my 2 story building. The sales person was articulate and polite. The installation had some problems but they were readily corrected.
Then the first significant snow of the season came. While letting my little Yorkie in the back door a very large icicle fell from the roof, just missing her. If it had been a person at my door they would have been injured or even killed.
When I looked at my home I found icicles from 1-3 feet long surrounding most of my building! The reply when I called LeafGuard was that on the back of my contract (written in green on yellow paper) there is a dicussion about icicle formation. There is no indication that these icicles could become a danger. Icicle formation was NEVER discussed with me by the salesperson.
If I had been warned of this ice formation, under no circumstances would I have purchased these gutters. The safety of people or animals coming to my home must be the priority. I have requested their removal before anyone gets hurt .
