I, like thousands of others, have unauthorized charges from these companies. By now, we all know the drill: $14.95 from Dream Smile in December; $74.95 last week from Leanrx.net. I reported this to my cc company and closed the account. This will prevent further charges and I will not be liable for those already existing. However, the credit card companies and banks WILL NOT refer your complaints to the authorities as a matter of policy.
Thus, it is absolutley imperative that anyone who has fallen victim to this scam file a report with his or her local police department. Dream Smile and Leanrx.net list their places of business as Onatario, CA and Henderson, NV, respectivley, so ask your local police to contact their colleagues in those cities after you file your report.
Finally, report this activity to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center online at http://www.ic3.gov/complaint.
The sizes of these individual transactions are small, however, as the sheer number of reports filed on the site demonstrates, the total cost of this fraud is enormous. Thus, it is essential that all of us report these charges to the authroties.

I filed my complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center. If you are a victim of this scam, PLEASE do the same. It only takes about 5 minutes.
We cannot count on the credit card companies to forward our complaints to the authorities. The only way to ensure that these unauthorized charges are throughly investigated is for EVERY victim to file a complaint.
